After hearing Rummy on Sunday I'm going to go on a limb and say that the Oil Fields never existed! Just like OBL, Saddam and those pesky WMDs we've been hearing about.
Crap, I've been discovered by the infidels. Seriously, you would have thought since they were going to such lengths to protect the oil fields from Saddam, "for the Iraqi people", during the war that they would atleast be able to secure them from the same Iraqi people post-war.
Bush really needs the oil to start flowing before this winter. There is a scary story that is developing which deserves its own thread - the shortage of natural gas in North America. It is going to be putting a big damper on the US economy. Actually, I am happy with the turn of events. I wanted some minor firing of the Iraqi wells so that our development of them is delayed. It will be better for humanity if this oil is pumped 5 years from now instead of today. The looting did the same thing, but without the loss of oil and destruction to the oil field itself that the burning would do.
