I suppose that every new religion is viewed as a cult by the masses.

And to show how much i favor MY religion over that weird one over there with aliens lying dormant inside volcanoes, I think it was Gervais (among others) who says to believers "you deny only one less God than I do"

Just want to sadly say that just like in some other countries, the subject of Charlie Kirk's murder has infested the Brazilian social media and even some politicians. Just dandy.

And the other shooting that happened Wednesday.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/ne...tened-walkout-evergreen-high-school-shooting/

    Of note:

The shooter was active on a so-called "violent gore" site months before the attack, the Anti-Defamation League said in a report released Friday. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said he had been "radicalized by an extremist network," but did not provide further details. The website that the Evergreen High School shooter was active on was also frequented by other recent school shooters, the ADL says.

Is it wrong to hope that my Mauser K98 will go up in value because it’s similar to the one used in the CK killing?

Unrelated, but it reminded me of something I read: The internet tracked down the VINs of the cars driven by Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. One car was a BMW and the other, IIRC, was a Honda. They were both from the early-mid 80s. Dylan drove the BMW which was being auctioned by eBay until it was pulled by eBay.

Apparently those types of cars were quite popular amongst car collectors in the mid 2010s. One of the cars had a bomb inside it as part of the Columbine attack and the other was tracked to New York state.

Can journalists, law enforcement, etc. stop saying “radicalized” to describe these cretins? Not least because it allows opportunistic wing nuts to code the person as left leaning.

    I think “lobotomized” works better.

It's quite amazing that there are three different theories stories about the murder that different people are running with:

1 - He killed Kirk because of left ideology and Kirk's rhetoric on transexuals.
2 - He was groyper and Kirk was a sellout who wasn't right enough.
3 - Israel did it. Kirk was shifting his opinion on Israel due to their actions in Gaza.

On the third one, unsurprisingly Candace is taking the football and running with it. Candace is interesting though because she had a close relationship with Kirk and he was recently on her show saying how he was basically getting harassed by his slight shift in Israel tone and willingness to platform people like Tucker Carlson. On that Tucker note, Max Blumenthal says around the time of that interview Kirk had a meeting with Bill Ackman where he was confronted about this. This 3rd one is obviously highly unlikely but just another sign of the current mess we are in with these podcast influencers and all.

Here is a report about that meeting.

But they are radicalized. Not in the manner that we traditionally think though. It's far more nihilistic.

    https://www.denverpost.com/2025/09/15/colorado-school-shooting-fbi-desmond-holly/

The teen shooter's social media accounts showed that he was likely involved in a form of online extremism that calls for violence as a way to destroy society, experts told The Denver Post last week. His accounts displayed a mix of white supremacy, antisemitism and a fascination with violence and mass shootings, including the 1999 Columbine High School massacre.

The shooter's social media footprint fits into a new wave of online extremism and suggests he was involved in nihilistic violent extremist networks, which often aim to exploit children and teenagers and push them toward violence, experts told The Post. The 16-year-old likely had an interest in mass shootings and then sought out the online extremist spaces, where he learned the cultural script for carrying out such an attack, experts said.

Obama being President broke their brains..

Civil Rights movement, womens rights to choose, same sex marriage…. it was a big affront to all their beliefs. Obama being President was the last straw, a country not too far from slavery, right around the corner from segregation was going in on its “diversity is our destiny” path and it became unbearable and they tripled down on their hate.. They got organized, studied the playbook on how to break a country and got to work…

They've gone full on projection. Everything that can be said about them, they are saying about the other side. Despite the fact that there isn't really a compelling explanation yet that is proven Vance is running with it being left wing extremism.

And elsewhere: A Govt Website that was hosting a study showing that political violence is committed most often by right wing extremists has been removed due to executive orders.
