Could be a little frustration there. I feel like @Sounders78 is being incredibly stubborn. But yeah point taken, moving on.
I think that’s taking it too far. 1. There are many, many elements of “the right “ who are completely uninteresting in truth, reality, etc. But not all of them. 2. The MSM will react differently under the two scenarios.
If only we had a good guy with a gun... This shooting happened on a college. Shouldn't police have been there, the same as it was a basketball game, concert or any other ticketed event? https://www.uvu.edu/police/about/ All UVUPD police officers are trained at the Utah State Police Academy and each year receive a minimum of forty (40) hours of in-service and specialized training in crime prevention and awareness, first aid, firearms, defensive tactics, legal updates, evidence gathering, traffic control, and traffic accident investigation, follow-up on criminal and civil investigations, etc. https://www.sltrib.com/news/education/2025/09/11/utah-campus-gun-law-breaking-down/ It is legal to openly carry a gun on Utah’s public university and college campuses with very few exceptions. In fact, Clark Aposhian, a national firearm lobbyist and the chair of the Utah Shooting Sports Council, said the state is possibly the most permissive in the country when it comes to guns and what few laws restrict them, including in higher education spaces. “It’s never been against the law here to lawfully possess a firearm on a college campus,” he said. It’s unknown if the shooter who fatally fired on conservative commentator Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in Orem on Wednesday afternoon was openly carrying or had a concealed weapon, but both are technically allowed. State and school officials have said a single shot was fired from a nearby rooftop in what appears to be a targeted attack. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...k-security-team-police-shooting-b2824820.html There were at least six good guys with guns there plus possible others there in addition to plainclothes officers. But hey, if we had armed guards in schools, we wouldn't have school shootings, right, MAGA?
It's hard to believe that the NRA was all about "this is how you are safe around guns" and not "guns are good and we need more guns moreso than we need healthcare".
Where we're at: NY Times Pitchbot Yes, Charlie Kirk called for Joe Biden’s execution. But he called for it in the right way.
See the latest from the NY Post. The effort to blame the shooting not on the shooter but on other people is quite revealing. The room mate is not the shooter lol.
Dude in the thread who said shooter may turn out to be a black pilled accelerationist may well be on the money. Other recent meme shootings can be seen as real world shit posts in intent. Even if he turns out to be a groyper that doesn’t mean he shot CK over fuentes beef. That’s an old man view of things. He’s just as likely to have done it chasing fame from that group. This is why all the tea leaf reading is so dumb. And if the White House has the smoking gun of leftism i suspect we would have seen it by now. One thing i do hope Cox is doing is protecting the room mate who are all has done nothing wrong but faces being strung up for this by the right.
+1 As usual a GOP pol is judged by incredibly low standards. This is an active murder investigation and here he is releasing details which could make it harder to find an impartial jury. Only Law Enforcement should be doing that, as they are bound by strict ethical and legal rules in such a case. Further on Cox, is that he is heavily involved in the right wing effort to censor the internet. I am in favour of regulation of big tech etc, but i certainly do not trust people like him to decide how i will access information. This explains IMO, his focus on blaming the internet for this rather than say, the US sick gun and shooting culture.
This is quite on point because there has been a huge meltdown on both sides of the Atlantic about the imprisonment of an English woman who incited violence after the immigrant hotel riots. Farage was over in the US stoking it. But of course in reality none of them believe in free speech. But both sides right?
But they can't blame the shooter because he was a white male from a God-fearing conservative family. After all, Proverbs 22:6 says: "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it" (NASB translation). So you see, it has to be someone else's fault, and that "someone else" is obviously "the god-denying evolution-loving Christian-hating leftists who can't even tell the difference between a boy and a girl".
She got arrested for assault and not speech. There is a video of her taking a swing at the guy's head to swipe his hat off. Not sure if there was more. Abbott is definitely irresponsible for making it look like she was arrested for mocking.
It's amusing to read y'all's spirited debate about the shooter's leanings. If he's Whiteright, slur his name. If he's left, paint a mural of him. A White supremacist is dead. Let's just breathe a sigh of relief at that before we go back to the real work of staying prepared for the ones we CAN'T see plain as day.
