"Viking" Denmark here. Lets be clear about one thing. We have a Social Democrat government in Denmark, with no "MAGA" like right wing parties anywhere near a seat in the Danish or Greenlandic Parliament, but still have achieved absolute law and order, with no illegal immigrants allowed, but with all legal immigrants embraced, if they want to work and contribute to the Danish society, no matter who they are and where they may come from. The Danish police are also all carrying side arms, which is unusual for Scandinavia and the UK.

Sweden is the absolute most lawless country in Scandinavia, with practically no immigration laws in the past and vastly more gun and gang crimes in their immigrant ghettos in all of Western Europe by capita, but now desperately trying to implement Danish laws.

Denmark however have the least right wing bigots' in Europe and Scandinavia by far, and are now also the most anti USA and MAGA in Europe by far, while Denmark in the past (before Trump) used to be the most positive supporters of the USA in Europe, also officially celebrating the US independence day :

Denmark is ranked the least corrupt country in the world the past 7 years in a row, but the laws and rules are also highly based on the courts and cops showing laid-back empathy and letting all the insignificant pass, while being very harsh on corruption and what really matters, unlike in the USA of today, which seem to be the other way around.

His family sounds MAGA, according to grandma, but his own politics are less clear other than he’s registered as an “unaffiliated voter” who hasn’t voted for the past couple of years - so his political views are still unknown afaik.

It's part and parcel with in-group/out-group thinking. They see their in-group as inherently moral and peaceful and the out-group as inherently immoral and violent.
