Welcome to the club of the wise..... If you ask anyone that knows me - you'll find I have been saying this for about 10 years or so. And with some vitriol.....
Would it be wrong for me to go back and quote the fascists’ posts from yesterday and ask if they stand by them?
I have no clue if that's a joke or what that is. The released info about his family / friend saying recently he was talking about Kirk and how he disliked him because he spreads hate. That would be consistent with left view of Kirk. Not sure I can fit Fuentes with that. I guess will probably find out soon if he speaks.
I’ve been at it a long time….i don think I’ve ever known anyone to zero at 200 yards. Then again…in the open terrain out west I could see that as a possibility. I zero at 75 yards and have rarely shot at a deer beyond that. A 30-06 is gonna drop about 2-3 inches at 200 yards. Not enough to explain a neck shot from a head shot aim at that distance. I strongly suspect he just wasn’t that good of a shot and either flinched anticipating the bang or pulled rather than pressed the trigger*. That’s the only explanation I can come up with for missing by that much….unless his scope was just completely off. *for those that don’t shoot….think of pointing a laser pointer at a target 200 yards away. Think about how steady you have to be to keep it from, going all over the place and jumping around on the wall 200 yards away. That’s what is happening with a rifle. Little tiny changes at the rifle end mean big changes at the target end. Placing the rifle on a firm rest takes most of that play out. But if you have any movement at all between the moment you decide to make it go bang and when the trigger actually fires the bullet…where you thought you were aiming and where the bullet actually gets sent can vary widely based on minute movements you make. One of the biggest reasons new shooters miss is pulling too fast and hard on the trigger. The act of pulling the trigger can move the barrel enough to send the bullet a good foot or two away from the spot in the cross hairs were centered on when you started to pull the trigger. You’re taught to but steady constant slow pressure in the trigger and let the actual bang just come as a surprise as you keep your target centered in the scope (over simplified) If you just quickly squeeze it….your gonna start missing real quick the further out you’re aiming. once a bullet leaves the gun…the only two factors that are gonna affect its flight path are wind and gravity (I’m simplifying here a bit). Wind left right…and gravity up down. At 200 yards gravity is only gonna account for a couple of inches..and wind likely wouldn’t affect it at all. So if you assume he was aiming either center of the head or center of the chest….he missed…by a lot. That amount of miss is either flinching/pulling with the trigger pull…or a scope that isn’t zeroed (the scope is pointing to one spot when the rifle barrel is actually pointing somewhere else) @superdave i saw your question and not sure it was answered. The answer is no…engraving the casings (the brass part of what you would likely call a “bullet”) would have zero effect on where the actual bullet (the lead part of what you would call a “bullet”) goes.
As I posted on the Liverpool board earlier.... At least this will be helpful to that wonderful rationalist and military strategist General Jesse George Patton Waters to help him find out who he is at war with....
He dressed up as Trump for Halloween . Cop dad. Political donations to Trump from the family. All of the memes on the bullets seem to originate with Fuentes's community---even the ones that might not make sense "catch this fascist" and "bella ciao" are both things you would expect a Leftist to use have been co-opted by Fuentes. His crowd doesn't think that they are fascists, they think they are white nationalists. This was MAGA on MAGA and Fuentes has been breaking with the right recently because of how bad the Administration is.... I would not be surprised if the Colorado shooting was also Fuentes inspired because I'm seeing that he was inspired by anti-semitic beliefs (which is Fuentes) and they aren't really saying who radicalized him and I think the link might be too much of a narrative that the right will try to bury. I've never bought that a Leftist would do this because there's really no benefit. All it would mean would be an invitation for a Reichstag Fire event which the Left has been (and I'm talking about the Left that I belong too---no neoliberals or Democrats) successfully avoiding up to this point in Trump's presidency. Violence seems to be coming from inside the house.
I’m completely flummoxed that anyone could outflank TPUSA on anti-LGBT+. How does a ********ing news org like Newsweek report shit like that?
I just found out a new word..."Groyper"...... Apparently that dude was a groyper....What a time to be alive. Dumbest ever... For more context, sharing this below. Can't confirm all the details but it seems more and more plausible. other98 Tyler Robinson, who turned himself in for murdering right wing activist Charlie Kirk, was not acting on left wing ideals but was deeply influenced by the far right “Groyper” movement led by Nick Fuentes. Robinson grew up in a MAGA household, his father was a police officer, and he was surrounded by guns from a young age. Family photos even show him dressed as Pepe the Frog for Halloween, a character that has become a Groyper mascot. When police examined his ammunition, they discovered Robinson had scratched “Bella Ciao” onto a casing. Though the song began as an anti fascist anthem, it has been co-opted into the online ecosystem of Groypers and incels, and it even shows up on the “Groyper War” playlist on Spotify. This mix of memes, music, and menace reflects how the far right glamorizes violence and recruits followers while hiding behind irony. Before any of this was known, Donald Trump blamed “the radical left” and Elon Musk claimed Democrats are “the party of murder.” Both owe the country an apology. The reality is a huge percentage of political violence in recent years has come from the right. Officials in Evergreen Colorado confirmed that the 16 year old boy who carried out a shooting just moments after Kirk's was ALSO radicalized online by far right propaganda. Conservatives need to face the truth that their MAGA movement with countless right wing dudebro podcasters is radicalizing an entire generation of young men across this country.
Yes. Southwest Utah, Washington county, St. George and its surrounds, are crazy. It is nuts down there. You have a decent amount of CA transplants that aren’t Mormon, but they’re Bakersfield Californians. About every truck has some sort of right wing decal on it.
This confounds me too, but I am very familiar with that corner of Utah. RWNJ is endemic. Glen Beck is still popular there. It is crazy town. I am not certain what kind of hate he was talking about specifically. It if you are a Groyper, then it seems pretty odd to accuse someone else of spreading hate.
The Trump costume is a toss up for me. It's a piggyback costume so I don't know how to interpret it ... but it was in 2017 which means he was 14 then. Could have been just a goof thing kids do. That's a good while ago. He did have right wing influence at home but that doesn't mean kids end up with the same vies as their parents as they grow older. The Fuentes thing could end up being the correct answer and this is indeed MAGA on MAGA with Trump letting the alt right down on certain issues. I know it was like yesterday but I don't remember what got me to bring the Fuentes angle up.
Guys please....do not look too hard into extreme rightwing Internet culture. You'll end up like that guy from the first Indy movie. Nothing good will come from it. If you want to know anything about this world, let me help you right now: Does it sound extremely dumb? Then it's true. Does it sound horribly violent? Then it's true.
The air in Washington County, Utah is so so so thick with right-wing vibes. I travel through southern Idaho, eastern Oregon and eastern Utah quite often for vacation. St. George and its surrounds were so incredibly full of all sorts of Let’s Go Brandon, Back the Blue, AR-15 imagery than everywhere else I went. And this is a town of 2-300k people! It is uncanny. One time we went camping in Southern Utah, and my wife randomly grabbed some teeshirts, one of which said NASTY WOMAN. One day, we felt so uncomfortable that she turned it inside out, for our safety.
For some reason I can’t edit my previous post. So I’ll make a separate comment instead. The only reason I even brought the skill of a shot like this was to combat the initial speculation that this must have been a professional hit by some trained assassin. I could have any of you making this shot in an hour at the range
Tup, it is one of their most successful tool.. co-opt terms and bend them to your use that way even when stuff like this happens the “clear” truth is muddied… “woke” is an example of a term co-opted by the right as an attack buzzword https://rachelandthecity.substack.com/p/when-catch-this-fascist-doesnt-mean
I follow Will Sommer and dude is great for explaining the swamp that is MAGA/MAGA adjacent. He knows all the players, history, relationships, etc...its been well tuned into this stuff for years now.
I'm a millennial and I'm chronically online. This is my expertise. I feel very confident saying he is a groyper. It makes the most sense. 98 percent confidence.
He still thinks it's too early to call him a Groyper too. Very online, yes, clearly. But more still to come. This stuff is complicated and swampy for a reason.
I would like to remind everybody that the FBI was fleeced of DEI individuals who would have helped in this situation. The ever so competent FBI needed to have a civilian tell them where to go.
