The right, every MAGA, and everyone at Fox News desperately wanted this guy to be a left-wing, liberal, trans nut job associated with Antifa. So far they're reaching into an empty barrel for proof.
BTW … in that briefing today , Kash opened up by thanking Trump first . It’s muscle memory at this point .
i’ve been wondering about this when we discovered they had this guy all night but then today on Fox trump didn’t continue on with his radical left diatribe.
This is good. We need better information, not crap speculation, in the continuing struggle for America's soul. And with AI making it so much easier to push sh1t around, it is harder to discern. We do need to be better about sourcing some of the stuff we're posting. Though I can tell you I don't have the time to police it.
I don't think secession will help. I live in California - in the Bay Area - and I see the polarization here as well. I don't think at this point the problem would go away if we try to secede. It might even make it worse.
To all the gun enthusiasts in this thread…could the engravings on the bullet have cause him to hit the neck instead of the target?
I don't believe this tweet. I'm not Kirk fan, but this isn't on brand. He doesn't post about something benefits him personally. It's all about rage bait targeted at others.
I checked it. It's not on his feed. It's fake. Posting pictures of tweets is IMO worse than posting the link itself. At lest with the link you can see who's posting the fake info and check the thread if you want to.
Somebody sent me this quote from Charlie Kirk. I checked it on-line and it seems to check out as real. (I googled it and it led me to stories that mention this quote as legitimate.) "You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense. it's drivel. But I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of unfortunately some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It's rational." -Charlie Kirk I am not trying to make light of his murder, and obviously this is not going to be a comfort to his loved ones - I understand that he had young kids. But, given his point of view, while I don't want to go as far as to say it's poetic justice, at the very least I can say that it's something that he intellectually accepted and even bargained for. He was willing to accept his own possible murder as a logical consequence of his beliefs.
Personally, I would argue he was young and naive and didn't properly understand the risks. He was filled with hubris and arrogance, often a classic hallmark of those who achieve noterioty at a young age. Its nuanced, but I don't think willing to accept is the right phrase.
