    ...will it happen? Speculate!

Personally I'd like to see it adopt the nickname "Lions"; after their rugby union counterparts. And they will not sing "God Save the Queen" as their national anthem. They will sing "The Power of Four" .

"From the four corners of our lands
    We're united, hand in hand
    Together
    We're stronger
We join and proud we stand

Now the day has come, we are one
Standing tall for our Lions call
    We're stronger
    Together
We are the Power of Four"

As for the team jerseys/kits, something along the lines of:

Of course they should replace the British & Irish Lions rugby logo with a small [IMG]

That is impossible to predict a squad for then, the players have to be under 21 apart from 3 over 21 players.

But i'll go along with that shirt

Under 23 (3 overaged allowed) and they cannot have played in the World Cup Finals (so I read).

It would just be English players anyway. I doubt it would happen. Only Rangers fans in Scotland would welcome it.

GB football team get tae ********!

That's just PC daftness. God Save the Queen is the anthem of Britain, not England, which is why it gets played if Britain gets a medal at the Olympics.

One way round it would be to have a 4 team qualifying tournament, with the best U23 team representing Britain in the Olympics.

Apparently the Welsh and Scots are against a GB football team. I wonder why? If you cant joint em, beat em?

I am completely against this and would refuse to play (or support) anything under the U**** J*** and God Save the Q****.

As for those making predications about the squad, they should remember that it is 7 years away and that is a lifetime in football.

Yeah by that time Craig Gordon will be a hero between the sticks at Man Utd, with Fletch as captain controlling the midfield :)

WTF is this - "our footballing identity is Scottish" ? Balderdash. Right now Scottish Soccer = RUBBISH. Who cares a Flying Fu_ck what a handfull of Scottish FA clowns clinging to their wretched UEFA representation think.
