If the Loyalist leaders haven't already, make a point of introducing yourselves to your Senior Director of Sales, Chris Keeney. Keeney was the director of sales at DCU (since 2001) and he fully understands what a supporters group is supposed to be. He and I worked on some viewing parties and other project together while he was at DCU, he and his team were also responsible for setting up the after parties with the players (not sure how handy his contacts at Budweiser are going to be now;) ). I definitely see him as someone who would be your corner in trying to get standing, drums, etc in your section if there's a problem. I saw him at MLS Cup (he was in the DCU FO section) but as soon as the game was over he had on a RSL shirt. You're getting a great guy and a true professional.

Thanks K, but the Loyalists (RSL Supporters Club) have a strong relationship with everyone, including FitzGerald, Keeney, Pastorino and Ellinger (heck we even made friends with Kreis already). They are all very helpful and easily accessible. Nice guys all around.

I second that statement. They have all been great. When I sent him a reponse like, "I wouldn't presume to bother you during business hours", or something like that, Chris Keeny came back with, "never too busy to talk to the supporters". And that about sums up the attitude we've been getting all around the FO. It's exciting!

    ...Is it April yet? ;)

My only beef is that I sent an email to Fitz Gerald about a supposed opportunity that he announced at the Nov. 9th meeting. I never heard back…

What opportunity... I talk to Trey almost daily. Perhaps I can dig for you a bit.

He's referring to the job Trey mentioned at our meaning for somebody who wanted some experience working w/ the team. I think a writing position, right?

Cool, glad you folks have met him. We'll have to see the schedule but I'd like to get out there next season (the SEs are already looking at the game with the Goats in Carson on April 2). Hope you can come out to RFK sometime (we'll give you hell on the inside but we'll drink with you on the outside!) ;)
