    Dig the silver.

Blue lettering/highlights would be nice, as well.

away silver kicks major big bootie.

if clark hunt and wagner don't unlock the safe
for ge & cc, we may very well suck,
but DAMN we'll look good doing it.

    AWAY SILVER!

    down with generipponent road whites,
the bane of MLS parity (mediocrity)......

now, while we're wishing while the gettin's good,
how about GOLD piping and highlights on those
silver unis, with maybe VW's orange logo take,
    with red numbers.....

Well, remember how you were after the new name and badge came out. We had to deal with your anger for quite awhile there.

More than willing to do it though.

Thanks. I am mostly over that now. :D Mostly. But I tried not to insult the team or those that liked the new logo - just the lack of imagination taht went into it.

But its not like stripes, horizontal or vertical, are new to soccer. If red and white hoops are the Peppermints are green and white hoops the Wint-O-Greens? What are blue and white hoops. I tried to keep me diatribe at an adult level - I may or may not have succeeded.

As for the Real Salt lake away uniforms - I wonder when MLS will force them to change the blue shorts to white? I just imagine the uniform police robot as starting to smoke and spark and spin around like some Lost in Space episode as it cannot comprehend a non- all white away kit.

It will not see the light of Day 1 of the 2005 season - or I'll buy Scipio another case of Shiner Blonde.

Ah the MLS Fashion Police to the rescue to save the All-White Unis.

As for the Shiner, you better make it Carlsberg and I'll keep an eye on the bet.

Salt Lake's jersey---what with the team's ReAL 'Royalty' motif---

---could really benefit artistically from having a unique, non-generic, non-league-issued number on the back.

I learned from an observant Burn fan on another forum that top Euro leagues prefer their teams to all wear identical (type-face) numerals. I don't get it. Help me out---what's the upside?

My two cents, reel's away kit is crisper than the home kit.

    Branding - I guess.

Boring is closer to the truth.

You'd think I could rustle up a case of Carlsberg on 6 month notice.

That is a watermark added by the guy who took the picture. he is a fan and that is his fan site URL.

Like 3rd Degree only less origional. :D

and does everyone see the black number on the road top... the generic black MLS number even though blue would make SO much more sense.

Yes, but think of the fun dressing up Eric Wynalda in a FCD kit, putting on a matching ski cap, letting him hide in the crowd and letting the kids play "Where's Waldo".

Over here it is called Where's Wally.

Now the question is, do be nice and let him stay where he is or send him on some dangerous mission to say Section 8 during a Brimstone Cup match? :D

Bumping this topic again to the top since we are talking in another thread about nicknames. Reb Bulls being one based on what could be FCD's uniform.

    From 3rdDegree:

Is another team in futbol world that uses the could-be home uniform for FC Dallas? Red and white hoops/strips, red shorts, and red socks?

    El Chapulin Colorado

I'm hope it would be silver/gray jerseys, blue shorts and silver/gray socks. I'm sick and tired of all white away uniforms.

I agree with this. But we need to distinguish our style of uniforms from the Chivas. Can't have a couple of teams with the same type of uniforms and team colors.

That could work! But I prefer white home shorts and blue away shorts.

While you're distinguisting them from Chivas, don't neglect to distinguish them from Chicago.
