Even if it is only a collection of short stories, it is great to have Harry Dresden back in action in Brief Cases. It has been several years since Jim Butcher released a dedicated Dresden Files book. I wish that he would hurry up and finish "Peace Talks". I enjoyed the "Fistfull of Warlocks" and "Jury Duty" short stories that I have read thus far. They are packed with the usual Dresden Files smart assery!
That Butcher and his editor want me to fork over $30 for almost no new material is insulting. But I thank you for the thread title, as it randomly reminded me of a movie my grandparents took me to see back in the day: Hot Lead and Cold Feet, starring Don Knotts. It was terrible, even when I was a kid.
I'm just glad to have anything new at this point. It's been over 4 years since a new novel was released in the series. He used to release about one per year like clockwork. I heard rumors that he didn't want to write the series anymore. I hope that this is not the case.
