Crew - DAU on Sunday , 3/16 Man U sold out it's Philly game 67 k in under one hour, meaningless game that is
I can't believe someone even likened the two matches. It's similar to those people who use the US-Mexico match at CCS as an example of how an MLS schedule with matches in February would work.
I know it was low of me, just trying to get some controversy going, get your attention for this game that actualy means something. What was i even thinking, so stupid of me to think you guys give a rat about this game.... Oh but that is why i posted it in the first place, I knew most don't care, well what you gona do, i tried .
Oh come on Toon; who wears the pants in your family? Jeez, man, just do what I do: walk into the room, look her square in the eye and say "Want to go shopping dear?" Wait, that didn't come out right.
No...you posted it to be a trolling idiot, as only a complete dumbass would try to compare the two... Note: If you're a complete dumbass, I apologize in advance for calling you a troll.
The Manchester United matches appeal to a wider pool of fans while the Crew's CONCACAF Champions Cup match, while meaningful, generally appeals to Crew fans - a much smaller pool from which to draw. To compare the two just doesn't make sense.
Jeez, what is it today? Did somebody forget to put out the "no trolling" sign? (BTW Idiot #2: pretty much everybody who posts here will be at the game on Sunday. Will you?)
you right !!!! ...so there you go, now you have something to stride for listen I am not comparing the two, I am just hoping this won't be an embarasemnt Sunday come, have you guys seen any promos advertisment for this ? The Chalange is for Sunday 3/23 not the 16 th of course, my mistake
This coming Sunday, DAC comes to Columbus to play the Crew, in the return leg. If the Crew win THAT game by 1 goal, they then play a 30-min mini game, and if that game is tied at the end, PKs ensue. If the Crew win by more than one goal, they advance based on total goals and move onto the 2nd round of the Champions Cup.
Personally, I haven't heard or seen any advertisements. As has been discussed in another thread, the Crew organization puts a lot of emphasis on their MLS home opener each season. The week of the match is usually deemed Crew Week in the city with Crew-related events throughout the week culminating in the home opener that weekend. With this season's home opener once again doubling as the league opener, it appears the Crew are focusing their marketing attention on the April 5 match. The announced attendance for Sunday's match will be fairly respectable due to its inclusion in various season ticket packages. The actual attendance, however, will most likely be 4,000-5,000. I wish it were higher, but them's the breaks.
I'll either be watching my daughter play in the championship match of the Bluegrass Tournament in Lexington or the Crew against DAU at CCS. It all depends on what my daughter's team does on Saturday.
