'IT'S a boyhood dream for every Manchester United fan - to score in front of a packed Stretford End.
And for a cheeky pair of supporters their dream has come true - but at a price.
James Allison and Louis Lamb, from Northenden, ended up in court after their stunt.
They ran on to the Old Trafford turf during the half-time interval when United played Blackburn in the Worthington Cup semi-final.
James, 21, and Louis, 20, decided to do the prank after a £100 bet with friends. They decided to donate the cash to the Kirsty Howard Appeal.
The pair smuggled a ball and a pump into the ground. At half-time, they inflated the ball and ran towards an entrance in the south stand which leads on to the pitch near to where Alex Ferguson sits.
They ran past stewards, telling them they were going for a kickabout, then as thousands of fans cheered, they were playing one twos with each other.
Louis then went in goal as angry stewards ran on the pitch after them.
They both took turns to score a goal at the Stretford End before stewards caught them.
The pair admitted at Trafford magistrates' court running on to a football pitch and were both fined £60 each and given a 12-month conditional discharge.
James said: "It's always been a dream of mine to play at Old Trafford and to score at the Stretford End was a magic feeling.
"I know we shouldn't have done it but it was a bit of fun and we've given the money from our bet to the Kirsty Howard Appeal."
Louis said: "I just wish I could play there every week."
