Is there not a FIFA regulation specifically against missing NT games while playing in club games immediately preceding and following the window?

Surprised no one noticed, Johnny started and went 81 in a 1-1 tie today.

Anybody see the game today? Sounds like he had a heckuva match, with a Futmob rating of 8.3

The less we pay attention the better he plays.

    See ya …

Edit: Watched the highlights, and the final comment: “Cardoso (who) has been brilliant.”

He doesn't show up much in the highlights; a good steal, a few other touches, but the announcers mention him as being excellent twice, so... I guess we have to watch the whole game? (and see just how miserable the finishing was for Betis)

It is worth watching the entire game if you are like me and were EXTREMELY impressed with him last season for Betis but have been looking for a bit more this season. FOTMOB gave him a 8.3... 2nd highest rated player on the pitch (8.4 was the MOTM). He was a beast against a team that had not lost in La Liga since last season. He was pretty remarkable. Tons of tackles/recoveries... often up field to create dangerous counters. Early on he had a recovery and served a perfect thru ball that put his forward one-v-one with the GK.... alas, he missed wide... and therefore does not show up on the scoresheet. AAR, if you are a Johnny fan and have been looking for a signature game to watch then spin up ESPN+ and watch the entire game.

I said exactly that in YA USA N+ A thread. The off the ball movement is enough to warrant a full watch.

Betis put their (finishing) stars on late. I suppose that makes sense for a Thurs night game. They will have 65 hrs. from last nite to kick off Sunday in LaLiga v. Celta Vigo.

Yep. They like the Conference League and all but with at least a point secured and the 3 easiest ties in the group stage to come, they're pretty sure to reach the knockout round but they're only 2 places off the CL places in La Liga. Keeping everyone fit for the weekend is far more important

BTW de la Torre is still injured so no chance of YA-on-YA action this weekend

Just had a nice cut back assist from the left to center of the box for the tie goal. 43rd minute now 1-1

Johnny came off at 56’, carrying a yellow card, as part of a double substitution. Including his assist, all-in-all a nice tune-up for Thursday.

    Still 1-1 at 65’ …

Yellow card was a bit of a mystery, by the way - looked like a clean tackle. Ref may have had a funny angle. Match ended 2-2 after Betis equalized deep into stoppage time.
