Did you used to have a handle of Chelsea 8-0 manure??? Where is that optimistic attitude??? You need to have belief that Chelsea will bust up a team that lost 6-0 to fulcrap. Anyways, no RAM on Sunday [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a40w8ksTyI4]Chelsea News for 10/21[/ame]
I would quite gladly settle for 1-0. This is not going to be easy. If you have ever been to Loftus Road, you know that although small, it is very old school, with the supporters right on top of the players. QPR supporters have waited the better part of a generation for this match. It is us they hate, not Fulham. I will be shocked if its a laugher.
It's a good thing we're playing the team and not the supporters. I'll take 1-0. QPR will be attack-minded. Hopefully we can shut them up with some quick counters.
I would expect that rat infested shit hole to be cauldron of noise and non stop verbal abuse, with the vast majority of it coming from the gutter dwellers. They'll be well up for it and it will undoubtedly inject the players to give what will probably be one of their seasons best performances. We'll get no time to settle, get no time on the ball and will most likely be the object of tackles that would make Vinnie Jones quite proud. It'll be interesting to see how the gaffer approaches this one. In years gone by, I would have said Mourinho would have had all the tall, strong, powerful players out there, with instruction of the like "if you get kicked by these clods, kick 'im back twice".We would simply look to overpower them...and with players like Drogba, Ballack, Terry, Essien we could have done so with ease. These days however, we seem to be trying to go all continental. I have to wonder if this approach will work given the circumstances...and, too, against a team that actively recruited the likes of Joey Barton, I mean, that says a lot about them right there. I don't see a big win in this one if we don't get an early goal. A quick goal would be ever so nice to quiet the mongol hordes tha twill infest the place, and could lead to an open game, as I dare say they'll be trying to kick us off the park and eek out a 1-0 win. If it opens up and quality of football determines the winner, we'll wipe the floor with them. Qphaha indeed!
Um.... I think you underestimate the influence that a rowdy set of supporters in these small, shit infested, stadiums can have in a local derby match. Yer man, leftwing, is right on.
+1 I really think some of our fans who may have not been around when we used to play QPR regularly are underestimating how much they loathe our existance the best part is that we generally dont care which makes them even more angry
AVB raps about his a bit: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qqc4OagrdHs]part of AVB pre-QPR match talk[/ame] I don't know where I read this (so many articles about this match on the net), but I love this quote from AVB: “The more important time will be the last three months of the season when you collide, or not, with trophies.” I propose this lineup...You could take out Bos & replace in w/ Bane for a stronger setup. Cech Bosingwa, Alex, JT, Cole Mikel Mireles, Lamps Sturridge, Drogba, Mata excellent post... Clan, I can only dream of typing poetry like yours I didn't realize the hatred freakin' hoops have for CFC. Man this week I have been given a taste of that hate. At first I was a bit happy the hoops made it to the EPL. Now, I hope they go back down to the Coca Cola Championship in a ball of flames.
I can honestly say, despite being called many, many things, numerous times...poetic has never been one of them
I think this will be difficult if we don't score early - that'll give the crowd more to cheer about. A 2-0 lead makes any crowd, no matter how drunk or stupid (and this is QPhaha we're talking about, so it's plenty both), much less interested in singing. If it's scoreless for a long time or if they even get a lead, this will be a much less pleasant proposition.
Those Sunday pm games are funny fishes though. It's a little too late for a good number to have spent all lunchtime in the pub and many will have more than an eye on Monday morning. Not as bad as the early Saturday kickoff (which is dearer than corduroy), but in my years going to the Bridge, not as noisy as your typical 3pm Saturday match. The QPR factor alone will ensure raucousness though. Looking forward to the real derby match tomorrow
I must admit, when the schedule came out, I didn't really care about this fixture. I thought it would be an easy win for the Blues. I was happy for the hoops to come up to the Top Flight. Then I felt sorry for them when fulham roasted that ass a couple of weeks ago. Now after having a couple of run-ins w/ some hoops fans, I feel the excitement of this match all the way in Nor Cal. Now I want CFC to run the Hoop's dicks into the ground!!! Now this match will be like Xmas morning when I was a young pup. I will get out of the bed & turn on FSC & there will be Loftus Road, w/ the hoop numpties yelling profanity & the most horrible things @ my Blue Heros. The best part about this match, is the fact that CFC will wear Black. We should feel like the Imperial Stormtroppers invading Ice Planet Hoth & putting down that pesky rebellion. DD will be our Lord Vader!!! Choking fools that irritates him by just a mere menacing gaze!!! Also I hope to God that AVB releases the Mighty Lukaken on those pitiful hoops, so he can crush those weaklings w/ his ball-wrecking physique. Sunday can't get here soon enought for me
