98 fire best mls team ever

    this is crap. the 2000/01 fire team was easily the best team in league history.

    98 may have won the league but it wasn't anywher near 00/01 in quality.

    No way. Not only was the 2000 team better, no team in league history has had as great a collection of talent.

    If only one of the many that hit the post had gone in...

    Agreed. 2000 was the best team, which is why the link doesn't work. It realized it's horrible mistake and took it's own life.

    LOL X 2, that is frickin hilarious. I agree though that 2000 was easily the best Fire team, and I think easily the best team in MLS history talent wise.

    The 2000 team had more talent but the difference between the 98 and 2000 team was the 2000 team didn't stay healthy. In the championship game we had so many players coming off injuries who weren't close to being 100 percent it wasn't funny.

    Just imagine if Kubik had been healthy at all during the second 1/2 of the season, for example.
