done as in "forever" is a long time. never underestimate the power of "the comeback" and the "resurrection" of one's career. in the same way that Vick may come back one day (if the NFL allows him), Britney too may climb back to regain a measure of respect...if not outright success and adulation. as it stands now, however, her life and public "fall" have become a gross and sad spectacle. i just hope it doesn't end too badly (before she works her way back up...along with her kids...)
Two words for everyone who thinks Britney is over & done with: Mariah Carey. America loves a valiant rehab / comeback story almost as much as they love the schadenfreude they feel on the celeb's way down.
well something enough happened in your world that you found a thread about MTV and posted in it. must've mattered or you wouldn't have bothered ....
Amen. The lip synching and lack of dancing was pretty darn bad, but it's a shame the media - and they are just satiating society's desires - has to kick her so hard when she's down. The song wasn't half bad (granted I doubt she wrote it). 99% of the critics wouldn't throw her off the couch for making crumbs and given that she just had her 2nd baby less than a year ago she didn't look half bad. Sure she should have put on a short dress to cover the 10 extra lbs she's carrying at the moment instead of whatever that was but hey that's not what the public wanted to see.
Okay, I just saw a few still photos. And while I would agree with the above statement in the abstract -- if you choose to appear on national television in as little clothing as permissible by broadcast standards, I think your body is up for grabs. And it looks like there's enough for the entire audience to grab. Simultaneously. OK .... that last part was just gratuitous and would fall into the unnecessary category. Much like her performance. Repeat paragraph 4.
http://www.youtube.com/user/itschriscrocker Just took a quick browse over some of - his - videos... this whacko has future serial killer (or something to that effect) written all over. Perhaps the most disturbing person I have ever come across not known for either a) being famously insane, or b) a heinous crime (usually of insanity). Exhibit A: The Silence of the Lambs flashback... Actually, he's got it tough. He's a flamboyant gay kid living in the middle of redneck central. There was a pretty interesting article written about him in May. http://www.elisanders.net/chriscrocker.html And he is quite the Britney fan.
Speaking of ditsy Southern blondes and trainwrecks and the VMAs, watching Miss Teen South Carolina try to make fun of herself is more painful than her original tainwreck. At least when she first screwed up, she was just being herself. Oh wait, I thought they were only going to show this ONCE. Yet, they're replaying it on MTV as we speak.
