Sorry to burst your bubble. The Rose and Thistle is a great pub, but they do not have Fuller's on draft. It can be found on Chambers Road. Further, for that weekend, with the bar's close proximity to campus, it will most likely have college football on.

Maybe we can look into getting O'Shaughnessy's to putting 'appropriate material' (past US-Mex matches, FSC, etc.) for our crowd on their TVs on Saturday or Friday, depending on how much we take over the bar? That's something I have not yet checked on, but will do.

so will it be possible for a 20 year old to get into the post game festivities? looks like we've got 4 of us, and one doesnt turn 21 until the 13th or something. Even if not drinking I'd hate to have us skip the post game celebrations.

Yes, we worked it out so folks under 21 will be able to get in to O'Shaughnessy's.

The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing.

Maybe it got a little hot for him?

Did you look down at the bottom where he writes "Buy Now" price: $420.

But if you pay the $420 he says he'll give you "Free Shipping". WOW! So if you give him four bills, he'll spring for the stamp?

Someone must be able to track those tix by the seat numbers.

I don't think it would be too hard, anyone have contacts at the Soccer House that they can turn in this lead to?

We should all set up fake PayPal accounts and sell counterfeit tickets on Ebay. Not only will we make money off stupid Mexican fans, but also stupid Mexican fans will show up in Columbus thinking they have a ticket and won't have time to get one when they realize they're SOL.

    OR:

Bid the crap out of it - $1,000, $2,000, whatever. Don't use Buy it Now, that's too fast. Let the auction go seven days. Then waste a week or two "sending" the money.

Just outbid anyone and everyone and then don't pay. A little negative feedback never hurt anyone, and the guy will end up eating the tix.

Only problem with that is if you rack up too many unpaid auctions they'll suspend your account. That's why you set up a sockpuppet account...

Yeah, the R&T's beer selection is nothing tio write home about. Sorry.

Fuller's has been on tap at the downtown Barley's Brewing Co., though I see it's not listed on their guest tap list now (http://www.barleysbrewing.com/enews1/whats_on_tap080905.htm; incidently, here's the tap list at the other Barley's, http://www.barleysbrewing.com/enews/whats_on_tap080905.htm).

Also, despite the vast number of soccer/football scarves in the R&T the place shows very little soccer on TV. The only reliable soccer pub in Columbus is Fado, which is located east of downtown at the Easton mall complex, http://www.fadoirishpub.com/fado_pub_main.php?city=columbus (also not much of a beer selection).

Fuller's is terribly hard to find on tap. Sometimes the aforementioned Winking Lizard has a hard-to-find English ale or two on tap, however.

I gotta get up to Philly sometime just to check out Monks.

So have you had any deployments to Spain or elsewhere where cigars from a certain country can be purchased legally lately? :D

    YOU ROCK!!!

(Funny thing is that before you posted this I had already checked out Barley's beer menu online and totally wrote the place off because I hadn't seen my beloved British ale. Barley's is now back on the list... thanks of course to you!

And yeah, Fuller's is a tough one to find on tap. But I've been taking notes in all the cities I visit. I can now add Columbus to it. :) )

Yeah he responded to my question saying he didn't know it was the Sams Army section and that he would take the listing off.

    Score one for me!

For those of us carrying flags/baners/etc into the stadium, will there be any way of dropping them off the day before the match, and/or mailing them to Crew Stadium so we can pick them up on Saturday?

I should have my big ass 7x11 Uncle Sam's Cross done for the game, and I'd rather not have to carry it with me during the tailgate while waiting for the gates to open.
