Deportivo vs. Milan kicks off at 2:45 EST and can be seen on ESPN2.

This is the lineup that all of the papers think Milan and Deportivo will go with:

DEPORTIVO: Juanmi; Scaloni, Naybet, Cesar, Romero; Mauro Silva, Acuna; Fran, Victor, Sergio; Makaay.

MILAN: Dida; Simic, Nesta, Maldini, Kaladze; Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf; Rui Costa; Inzaghi, Rivaldo.

This is the same lineup Milan used in the Lens match.

As much as it aids Milan's cause, it is too bad Valeron isn't playing.

No Tristan in the starting lineup?

How did Ambro and JDT play this past weekend?

Finally, this the first time Rivaldo and Inzaghi are starting together as strikers, right?

Hey, were missing Sheva so I don't feel sorry for Deportivo. With all of the injuries we had last year we should get some luck this year. Tristain is still recovering from injury and could come on in the second half. Ambrosini played his normal solid game but Carlo seems to like Gattuso more, I don't know why. JDT didn't do much besides get taken down in the box to cause the Serginho penalty, which he missed. Inzaghi and Rivaldo played together against Lens as well.

Thanks for the update dude - unfortunately, I don't get RAI International. The lack of Sheva is so obvious and heartbreaking, I don't even like mentioning it :) When he comes back...my Lord

I just called my girlfriend to tape the game, so I'm going to try and be good to save the result for after work. Of course, last time I tried this for the Germany v. US friendly, I avoided the result for 8 hours (at school no less!), only to have ESPN flash the score on the ticker 1 minute before the broadcast. Here's hoping to better luck and a Rossoneri evening!

    Forza Milan!

    hoooray!!!

this season i'm cheering for Milan even more than for Juventus

i want them to play well.i want them to win playing well

tonite it was a bit of a lucky game (and a top-of-the-form Pippo...),Milan is not a great team yet but they have a great team mentality: with that roster,it's only a matter of time

    bye

    FT Deportivo 0-4 Milan
    Seedorf 17'
    Inzaghi 33'
    Inzaghi 55'
    Inzaghi 62'

This was the best I've seen Milan play in about 4 or 5 years. They could have easily scored 9 on Deportivo tonight. Inzaghi did score a hattrick but he could have scored 6. Rivaldo missed a few chances and Tomasson missed a sitter at the end. To sum up this years Milan team I think they are the team of 3 generals. Maldini commands the back third of the field, Pirlo commands the middle, and Rui Costa commands the attacking third. It's working so far.

Although Inzaghi scored a hattrick I think the MOM was Seedorf. He was all over the place tonight and his goal opened the floodgates for Milan. If Milan gets a lead this season I can't see them losing any games.

I don't think he will be rooting for Milan in Serie A this season just CL. I'm cheering on Juve a bit this year in CL as well.

Maybe he didn't see the whole game. After the first 15 minutes Milan dominated the whole game and looked dangerous everytime they went forward.

Wow! An Inzaghi hattrick. How about that solid defense all the way around? Impressive performance thwarting Depor's attacks.

After finally watching the game, I had the joy of watching Pirlo play 90 for the first time. The dude is incredible. Great vision, confident on the ball, always willing to try the dangerous diagonal ball. If this season is an unqualified success, my prediction is Pirlo will deserve a fair share of the praise.

Inzaghi was in clinical fashion (except for the one miss from, oh, half a yard!) Watching Milan move the ball around is just fantastic.

I'll be happy to see Sheva back, if nothing else, so there is another guy aside from Rivaldo and either goalie with short hair ;)

For me, Pirlo is the best player on the team. No joke.

I'll take Rui Costa. He either set up or influenced all four goals and is coming into the form that Milan had envisioned when they spent all that money to lure him from Fiorentina. Pirlo will be a superstar, but Rui is playing like the superstar that he truly is.
