Let me be the first to chime in that this could turn out to be a dangerous fixture. Bolton certainly have nothing to lose, and with this week's CL match already in hand, I fear a let down. But my faith in Wenger motivating the troops is steadfast. Arsenal 2 - Bolton 1
OK, that's enough. If we're going to have an official pre/post match thread, let's have it started by our Arsenal America folks, and not some idiot who supports someone else and just posts in every forum just to boost his own post count.
Ian's got half a point - Brian C spreads himself very widely (for the Colemanballs fans "...and shows his class"). There should be enough interest in the Champions to provide for comment anyway. Bolton - A team with application, a dash of craft, and a canny manager. Given the form we're in, I'd say, on balance, at the end of the day and taking everything into account, that they should be crushed like the inferior life-forms they are This never losing business isn't affecting my attitude at all, honest ubergruppenGuv.
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! Hold on a sec while I pick myself up off the floor and glue my chair back together!!
We should win this one. If we play as well as we did against Dortmund and Charlton, they'll be sent back up the M1 with a severe beating to contemplate. After Lauren came back as sub in midweek, I expect him to start this one, that being the only change to Wednesday night's team: Seaman Lauren Keown Campbell Cole Ljungberg Vieira Silve Wiltord Bergkamp Henry If we get a couple of early ones, I'd like to see Jeffers get a run out after he scored a hat-trick for the reserves last night. I wouldn't mind seeing Pennant get some kind of game on the wing too, bringing Cygan on in wide midfield in the latter stages of games is ridiculous. He looked so off the pace when he came on against Dortmund and the Premiership is even faster! Not his fault, but I think he'd be better off getting used to the frenetic Premiership games in the reserves, playing a full 90 minutes for several games rather than 10 minutes at the end of games that are already won.
We have to make do without Patrick as he is suspended so the question is who plays centre mid is Edu fit, will Toure start or perhaps Lauren may be moved into the middle. We need either Edu or Parlour to be back unless he goes for a team as follows Seaman Luzhny,Keown,Campbell,Cole Lauren,Gilberto,Freddi Bergkamp Wiltord, Henry Who knows but no matter what team we put out we should be capable of beating Bolton.
Yep, Paddy gets his much needed rest. So my idea of the team is, barring injury Seaman Lauren - Keown - Campbell - Cole Wiltord - Gilberto - Edu - Ljungberg Bergkamp - Henry Subs: Taylor, Luzhny (poss Cygan), Toure, Kanu, Jeffers Edu went off in the Dortmund game so may not be fit, and I believe Parlour's still out, so Kolo Toure may start ("Kolo play midfield, Kolo run, Kolo shoot, Kolo score hat-trick" - yessss!). Maybe another young 'un on the bench, but probably looking at Cygan there instead. On a different note, I am getting to really hate working Saturdays. I could be watching the best Arsenal team, ever, instead. I need to sort out my priorities.
Might this be the time to get our oft injured young phenom some PT? Jeffers scored 3 in the reserves game (Toure chipped in one as well). Of course, should Jeffers enter the game, I realize that his ankle will immediately snap in half and he'll be lost for 9 more months, so......
