For the most part I agree. It seems Australia hasn't taken out a defender though. That could be worrisome since I was not impressed by the Australia defense in the first half.

I actually had that last message typed before the free kick was taken. What was that?

NOR-GHA [result]Norway is up 4-0. If Australia wins by 1, Norway goes top due to goal count leaving the Matildas to play Brasil.[/result]

Shit. I have to go to work. :(

Worse yet, I should be leaving now yet I still need to get dressed.

Canada has gotten behind the Australian defense three times with good passing combinations only to be caught offside.

Australia is kicking a lot of useless long balls and worthless passes.

Neither team is looking particularly sharp right now.

Peters out Ferguson in for Australia

    Both teams looks especially cautious.

A turn of events as McLeod is looking to be subbed. The timing is pretty random as no play was near the keeper when she went to her knees. The commentators are speculating that it is a head injury. Swiatek is coming on as her replacement in the 79th. McLeod had a great game.

Sinclair got the goal that may take Canada to the next round... it was nearly inevitable as Australia had backed off their attack

Not a particularly great game, but very emotional. :)

PS: McCallum and Lang have been playing rugby, kicking the balls way too high.

After looking like the better team for much of this match, Australia got a well deserved equalizer early in the second half. Unfortunately for the Australian team, they backed off and played for a tie although they had dominated possession and smart play. I don't understand the change in tactics for the Australian team. Now the Aussies are pressing with everything they have in the closing minutes and seconds.
