Self-perpetuating hype and overwrought media attention not going to do this youngster any favors, either on or off the pitch.
Too many excuses. He obviously did not have the usual spring in his legs. His mind is trying to do what he thinks he can accomplish but the legs drag behind the mind and he gets injured, doesn't beat people, doesn't get to the ball in time, fouls another player, gets fouled. Now we know 2 rest days isn't enough for him at this stage of his career.
Way to overreact. He was still dangerous, and beat his marker multiple times for long runs and crosses that could have resulted in something. If one of his teammates gets on the end of one of those, its an entirely different narrative. And he WAS fouled in a dangerous place. It wasn't his best game, for sure, but it wasn't like he was noticeably not up to it in the half he played.
