Just got the Oscar email about this tickets for this so figured I'd start the thread. I assume we can use this as the Tailgate thread too. Chris and his brother have got the lamb. Also, what does Oscar mean by this? Its special game D, right? So as a Barra season ticket holder I already have a ticket. Do I need to buy another ticket? I had assumed that season ticket holders simply get a T-Shirt in addition to the ticket we already have. Chico I'm assuming you can clarify. See everybody tonight.
Yeah, I was just coming here to post about this. The letter says: People with a full season ticket already have a ticket to the match -- Special Game D. So for people who don't have a ticket, it's $18 for the ticket and an extra $7 for a t-shirt; for people who have season tickets, it's $18 for a t-shirt that's being given away for free by the team to folks with season tix? Did Oscar not realize the USOC is included in season tix?
Everyone make it there, most important game of the year so far and please none of those idiotic ACES scarves, that whole thing's so played out it's makin baby jesus cry sent, prolly just get a ticket as season ticket holder
All Clubs Except Seattle bullshit supposed to be some unification against Seattle by everyone else as if they're scary or some such lol
I'm not blonde and I somehow managed to remain blissfully unaware of such scarves. Until now. Damn you, pre-game thread!
that's fine (i was kidding about scary ), I just have a problem with All Clubs Except DC, and about dozen of them more than Seattle
Oh man, this is too cute. http://www.weareecs.com/tickets/away-trip-dc-usoc-final-2009/ First off, nice picture of a Nats game. Second off, Adrian Hanuer was the one crying, not Kevin Payne. Thirdly, they'll get about half a beer each at RFD with that many people. Someone forgot to tell 'em about the legendary good service at RFD, huh? Fourth, they have a "march" planned from RFD to the Metro. Did they bother to look at a map? It's a half block to the metro from RFD. Then they're going to Metro it, during rush hour, with a line switch, to RFK. ********ing LOL Fifth, they're staying at a hotel on NY Ave NE. I say this as someone who lived 4 blocks from that hotel when it was being built - that area is sketchy at night for people familiar with the area. Good luck to them staying there... Too funny. ---- Anyway, we'll be there bright and early, and ready to jump sing and scream for 90+
They'll be about 20 feet from the new Five Guys, and right across the street from the HQ of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. And the Wendys at New York/Florida is open late. Other than that . . . .not much reason to be in that area. Odd choice of hotels.
Any pics of the shirt or what's on it? Is this a USOC or DCU shirt? I'm curious if it's worth the extra scratch.
If any Barra is standing in line for cheap crap draft beer instead of jumping and singing in the stands during the game they should get kicked in the crotch. Get your drink on in Lot 8 and then give your all in the stands.
anyone kno any employees at that hotel??? edit: i say we get the front desk staff to hang a few dc united and barra brava banners in their lobby just for kicks
Wow. Well an old college friend of mine who now lives in Seattle is coming in for the game and I told him he could stay with me. He knows how big of a DC fan I am and I know how big of a Seattle fan he is. This should get interesting...
If you take ACES seriously enough to have a rigid stance against it, then I think you are either a Sounder fan or have way missed the point. It's a wind up by the supporters of clubs playing against Seattle of Sounder fans. It's just one more form of fan give and take. It may not be your favorite way and that's fine, but other supporters have plenty of fun with it at Seattle's expense. If you don't like ACES Scarves, don't wear one, but if someone else wants to, why is it 1) important for you to impose your opinions on other LBB, and 2) your place to even do that? Fricken nazis everywhere. When it comes to something as inocuous as a scarf with a bad word on it . . . people should do what they want. And others should just chill the ******** out and let people enjoy rivalries.
