    22' The Magpies push hard to get the equaliser, with most of the attacks stemming from Portuguese playmaker Viana. The pressure results in a goalmouth scramble, where Bellamy is unlucky to miss out.

    It appears that Hugo had a couple of nice chances for himself.

    52' Viana again threatens from outside the box, sending another powerful effort out.
    50' Viana's srike is Newcastle's best effort so far when he thunders a low shot from the edge of the box which bristles centimetres wide of the post.

    It would be nice if the Magpies could get back on the winning track. It has been a rough couple of weeks.
