The R's open up tonight's game with the same XI that topped Swindon on the weekend: Simon Royce; Terrell Forbes, Clarke Carlisle, Danny Shittu, Tom Williams; Steve Palmer, Richard Langley, Matthew Rose, Karl Connelly; Dennis Oli, and Kevin Gallen. On the bench: Digby, Doudou, Thomson, Pacquette, and Murphy. It looks like I'll get to listen to the match live, so I'll post updates when I can.
A couple of quick corners lead to a Shittu header from Williams and ... GOAL!!! Rangers up 1-0 in the third minute.
I'm having some "congestion" issues that I didn't have last week. It's not been smooth listening. FYI, American John Thorrington is, as usual, starting for Huddersfield (just made a nice move in dangerous territory, but was snuffed out by Carlisle).
Here's the halftime take from the official site: http://www.qpr.co.uk/today/view/breaking_news_detail/0,,10373~273439,00.html
Langley hit the bar with a free kick a few minutes ago. 19 minutes to go. Free kick just outside the box (earned by Gallen via a Huddersfield hand ball). Langley makes a great effort, knocked onto the post by the Huddersfield keeper, Carlisle cleans up for the GOAL! QPR 3-0!!
According to the commentator, if tonight's scores stay as they are, the R's would move to 2nd in the 2nd. R's still 3-0 up with under five minutes of regulation to play.

The R's now sit in second, tied with Oldham and Cardiff on 17 points, but with the best goal differential (although Cardiff has a game in hand). Early days yet...don't go getting ahead of ourselves...lots of football yet to be played...blah blah blah....
