    ALL HAIL SHINJI ONO!!

And it's great that they started Song too. Is this the first start for 2 Asian players on the same team? (other than Everton's start of their Chinese duo last week).

  6. Ono forever. inamoto forever. hamatachi forever Impressive 5-1 win for Feyenoord. now, it's nakamura and nakata's turn to do something impressive today.

Apparently two assists by Song! Great start! He should start against Juventus.

Yes, final was 5-1. A thorough @$$ kicking administered by Feyenoord. They're even more dangerous with Song. Hopefully they can prove it against Juve and the others in the CL.

    FC Twente 1-5 (1-3) Feyenoord
    24EOno (0-1), 26EBooth (1-1), 40EBuffel (1-2), 45EOno (1-3), 67EVan Hooijdonk (1-4), 75EBuffel (1-5)

Does anyone know why the away jersey is Green? I just thought it would be Red or White. There's just no Green in their team colors, so it's kind of weird.

Well, it wouldn't be red or white since those are the home colors and you can't wear either color if the other team is wearing red and/or white (especially since both Ajax and PSV wear those colors).

Now, why green? I haven't been able to verify this, but the green-white-green shield on the jersey is the symbol of Rotterdam and green is the city's official color. Personally, I prefer the black shirts from last season.

BTW, the Champion's League away kit is navy blue (they wore light blue last year in UEFA Cup).

Song wasn't supposed to start as he still isn't fully fit and he still hasn't fully adjusted to the team's tactics, etc.

But surprisingly, he started today and made 2 assists.

Ono scored a header off of Song's cross.

Isn't this the first time EVER when an Asian player assisted so that another Asian player scored?

oh and I also heard that this was the first time ever Feyenoord STARTED a non-European player at his FIRST game. The coach himself said that he was a bit worried as Song cannot communicate with his teammates at all.

Song really needs to learn how to celebrate "cool."

He might wanna learn from Ono.

Yeah. I ain't a big fan of his overt Christianity. I don't think God had any part in making the opposing goalie miss the goal. Then again, maybe Song's got something on God . . . hmmm
