Am I just paranoid or is last years first fixture against Charlton still playing in my mind. Its almost as if Charlton are no longer in the Prem as they get no press. We need to be in the zone or they could kick our a$$ again.

A particularly bad game from Wright last year contributed to that loss. Plus the team are so full of confidence at the moment and are playing great stuff. I expect us to win this one, while it will be tough as Curbishley always has his teams well organized and they fight for everything, if we can capitalize on the indifferent form of everyone else at this early stage, it will stand us in good stead.

I lament that I must agree with my Bluegrass Brother on this one. They seem to get up for these games, as the Gunners do not (at least not so much).

I was asked about the London derby matches by a friend not too long ago. The only thing I could liken it to (at the time) was ACC basketball. Say you're NC State. You've just played Clemson, Maryland, and Wake in the past week. Next Tuesday you've got to play UNC, and Duke next Saturday - can you really get psyched for the impending non-conference Michigan State game this weekend?

A better example would be the Big Five, it not actually being a league, but my friend wasn't familiar with the whole Philly college ball scene. Ah, the Palestra...

3-0 to the Gunners! Goals by Henry (44), Wiltord (67) and Edu (88).
Six goals in six games for Sylvain.

Turned out to be a rather safe-sounding 3-0 win. Henry after 44 minutes, Wiltord, and Edu with 2nd-half goals. Wiltord keeps up his goal-a-game pace with his 6th of the season.

I listened to it on the radio and it sounded like a comfortable match once Charlton's early onslaught had been withstood. Another couple of records went today, the top flight consecutive scoring record and we matched the unbeaten away record (22) held by Nottingham Forest. The funniest statistic of the day though was texted to me by a mate of mine after the game. Sylvain Wiltord has scored more league goals this season than the entire Manchester United team put together. LOL!!!
