I just saw the starting lineup on MLSnet,
Tony Meola, Jimmy Conrad, Diego Gutierrez, Nick Garcia, Chris Klein, Francisco Gomez, Preki, Kerry Zavagnin, Stephen Armstrong, Wolde Harris, Igor Simutenkov.

no Quill in the starting lineup, and the best part for the new whipping boy is the reserve list

Davy Arnaud, Bo Oshoniyi, Carey Talley, Josh Wolff, Alex Zotinca.

He didn't even make the traveling roster for the team, maybe Gansler noticed that he isn't playing well.

And for those curious here is the lineup for Colorado,
Scott Garlick, Wes Hart, Nat Borchers, Robin Fraser, Ritchie Kotschau, Chris Henderson, Kyle Beckerman, Pablo Mastroeni, Matt Crawford, Chris Carrieri, John Spencer

No, I can never get it to work, even with the T1 connection at my school, I'm using the preview, and the event log, it's slow, but it's working ok, we had four corner kicks in a matter of like 4 minutes, still scoreless in the 33 min. So far looking at the event log, it's been kinda back and forth, shots on both sides of the field.

I see the corner kicks. That's what sucks about Match Tracker, no idea if we were swarming or what.

All I want to see is KC's score start to go up

Definitly, heading out to play some mud football with a soroity tonight, so I have to hope when I come back in an hour or two that the Wizards have put a goal or two in.

Matchtracker is stuck on 35:55 for a game that started an hour ago.

I'm ashamed that I didn't bother checking earlier. I guess 8 years of limited radio has beaten me down.

But boy are these guys stupid as rocks.

"KC will be happy with a point because they haven't won any games lately."

Wrong. A tie sucks all the way around. With Dallas gone, we need to play for wins and only wins.

    ----
    Conrad off the crossbar. Damn

    Damn, 1-0 Colorado.

    We're now 7-9-8. Pathetic.

The Wizards will now go a full 2 months without a win. After beating Columbus on July 19th...

    7/26 2-0 loss in Naperville
8/8 1-0 loss against San Jose
8/13 0-0 tie in East Rutherford
    8/16 3-2 loss in Southlake
8/22 2-2 tie at home to Colorado
    8/31 1-0 loss in Columbus
    9/6 2-1 loss against MetroStars
    9/13 1-0 loss in Denver

In those 8 games, we've been outscored 12-5. Of our 5 goals, 3 are Preki PKs. Arnaud and Gomez got the others. Brown? Wolff? Simutenkov? Harris? Nothing. Eight Games. Klein? Quill? Armstrong? Nothing.

Oh yeah, I guess Simutenkov did net 2 goals (one a PK) in Denver on 8/5 in the US Open Cup, but then that game was a 3-2 loss... That just means 9 games, 7 losses, 15-7 goals against and 4 of our 7 goals have been from the spot.

Look at the bright side - at least Dallas didn't gain on us. That should be our mantra for the 2nd half of the season.

I guess Quill wasn't our only problem (duh).

There is no bright side to this crap team. I am throughly disgusted with the way they are playing.

I'm sure all the newbies who come out for the Sept 20th game will be damned impressed.

    Just plain ugly.

This game hurts. We kept it scoreless for some 82 minutes. We managed to get only 6 shots to their 13 ; 2 on goal to their 4 ; 6 cornerkicks to their 7.

It sounds like we had a good game overall. Now what do we expect to happen next Saturday?
I hate to say it, but next week is a must win if we are to have any hope of gaining any momentum for the playoffs.

It's definately a tough time to be a Wizards fan.

This feels worse than 99. At least in 99 we never had any hope. I watched the team practice before the first game and I was thinking championship.

This team gave us hope. Now they kick us in the gut.

Where have all the goals gone? What has happened to this team?

speaking of kicking someone in the gut, Zavagnin got a good one in one Beckermen.

    Same game, different week.

All the scrubs + Quill were at Coach's. The seating was horrible at Coach's due to the College football games, though the majority of people there were to see the Wizards play. Even the scrubs had to stand. According to the broadcast Quill was left home due to "flu" like symptoms. Armstrong played like crap, like utter crap, he was horrible, maybe that is why Quill was getting the starts that he was. The Henderson still hurts.

    My Kingdom for a left-wing.

Ahhhh! I don't even know what to say, what is up with the Wizards, they really could have used this one to build some momenteum, for the big game next week and to start a push for the playoffs. The Wizards have what? six games until the playoffs start? They really need to start playing better and get ready for the post season. It's been said before on this site and we'll say it again as long as the Wizards struggle to get points, "thank God that Dallas has played poorly this season."
