Not that I want Howard to give up a goal, but something's needed to kickstart the "black" devils today. This reminds me a lot of how they looked in the Southampton game.

44: Ronaldo shot from 10 yards saved well by the keeper. Out for a corner.

Corner cleared temporarily. Ronaldo sliced down just outside the box.

45+2: Commentator mentions that ManUtd backpass shows the confidence that the players have in Howard.

    HALF TIME:

The story so far...Euell long balls are dangerous while Ronaldo is giving the right side of Charlton's defense fits. Other than that, it's been a pretty mundane first half.

Man U seem to be having trouble on the attack, not sure what is wrong with them i am no Man U expert, but they look slow, tired not much creativity . This is the third game now that they don't resemble the team that toured the USA. They only scored one goal since the 2-1 win over Newcastle back on August 23 rd.

Scholes is a very good, under-rated player. ManU REALLY miss him.He links up with the forwards beautifully, and he himself makes nice runs forward. He pops up in dangerous places and is unpredictable. On the other hand, does anyone else thing Rio F is over-rated? Everytime I see him he has a bad game.

48: Ronaldo down with a hard knock but he's back up after a minute or so delay.

52: Second half starts right where the first left off. I'm starting to fall asleep during this one.

53: Eueull dangerous again, but offside this time.

That's it for me now guys. Hopefully something exciting will happen in the second half and I'll catch it on TiVo later today.

How many of ManU's problems stem from Scholes being out?

They really haven't looked/sounded good since he went down.

Of course they also lost Veron after the USA tour but this hardly seems like the same team.
