Did anyone besides me find this quote hilarious?? LOL...

Anyway, I certainly hope the sequestering *does* help their concentration level tonight. Good to see OZ realizes there's a problem (even if he doesn't realize blame could be placed at his feet).

Hopefully, with everything that is at stake, they'll be fired up tonight. That could explain the result against Dalllas. And I'm glad MD isn't starting, (not because I don't think he's good, just because we do better with 2 up front than 3). Here's hoping Mathis and Faria have some good chemistry tonight. (Oh, and that we have a midfeild presence, and our D steps it up and ... LOL)

    GO METRO!

The comparision of Tab to a good bottle of Port did it for me.

Okay. Translating into something more familiar --if Tab were a 6-pack, what would he be?

... and I've had some VERY good port; I get OZ's drift. I wanted the bottle to last forever.

Since when does Port come in a screw top?

Well, this explains Zambrano's unusual starting lineups this season.....he's drunk.

I have an eighty year old bottle of port that I will crack when the MetroStars win the MLS Cup. It will then of course, be 125 years old.

Every Metro coach has had to bow down to Tab. Tab is more like a can of "Tab" than a bottle of good Port.

Being a fine connoisseur (sp?) of the former and somewhat interested in the latter I can attest to the fact that there is NOTHING better than a can of Nov 2001 (AM Version) Tab. Some will argue for the all-saccharin vintage but I prefer the modern blend.

    if you doubt me. :)

"The MetroStars are offering two free tickets to any New York or New Jersey police officer, firefighter or emergency services worker who produces a badge or proper identification. Tickets will be available at Giants Stadium's Gate C Will Call beginning two hours before the game." (from the above SL article)

This is awesome!! Of course, with Metros LOUSY advertising, I am sure noone knows about it. (This is the first I am hearing of it).

Exactly! Im sure that Firefighters and Police Officers who are soccer fans would come if they knew that the offer was being made. But since 80% of their day consist of them being on the street or doing stuff around the FIrehouse, Im sure they are not going to be checking MEtroStars.com and BigSOccer everyday to see what offers the Metros are making. Besides they got enough to do these past few days. I just hope Metro is not so stupid as to think that a simple banner on their page is going to "get the word out".

    Noticed this on espn.com........

"The result of the final two matches between both clubs, including Saturday, also will determine the winner of the inaugural Cup series of the two teams, which includes the right to name the trophy -- Liberty Cup if the MetroStars win, Atlantic Cup if D.C. United wins. "

.... looks like they are still pushing the whole brimestone idea....kinda sad really.
