Not meaning to troll here, fellas. Shame you guys lost. Gus St. Silva is simply incompetent as a ref, and there were quite a number of critical fouls NOT called by the guy in yellow tonight, that would have benefited the Cabbies. You all deserved far better than to have that fool holding the whistle tonight.
The officiating was definitely shoddy. I thought Faria getting taking down in the box was a penalty and the ref didn't have the balls to give it. After letting so many fouls and other *************** after the play go it started to get out of hand.
Re: Re: 9/12: Metros vs. DC Post-match [R] F-U Metro fan....and two French clubs fan. Your boards? This is your first post. BTW, I wasn't being a smartass. It was a terrible result for you guys so I was looking for something positive to say.
Is the guy who turned his jersey inside-out (in 101) on these boards? Just wondering if that was some sort of protest at the end...
Re: Re: 9/12: Metros vs. DC Post-match [R] Don't mind Brian he's our resident virgin around here. ... as for the match..Rimando did the impossible and out played Howard tonight....thankfully we still have one more with DC.
It sure did look like he was disgusted and/or protesting. The ESPN announcers said the fans were booing the Metros. We they booing the team or the horrible officiating?
The officiating I believe. Lots of whistles and boos after a few fouls and no whistle but I could be wrong. Over on the DC boards they're making some weak cracks on "Sweeper." I guess that's who it was with the jersey. JRedknapp11, shouldn't you be at the stadium? I thought you supported the Metros.
Rumor has it that was Sweeper. Didn't see the second half, so I won't make any comments about it. Etheverry's goal was quite lucky though.
It did appear that Pope's run towards the near post fooled Howard JUST long enough ... then the ball curved into the netting, far side. A good ball by El Diablo. I still think he's a punk
A good point. However the really good players can put the ball in the most DANGEROUS positions. Howard had to guess what would happen, and he guessed wrong Other than that, Howard had some killer saves. I was impressed
Mejido! I've only heard about you until now... What ever happened to your website, "The Taxi Fanzine?" I don't think it was ever updated again. *edited* Nevermind. It appears you have changed allegiances. What happened? I thought DC was pure evil.
I don't have the URL anymore. Does anyone have the link to the page comparing the DC front office to Nazi officials? Psychotic and completely off-the-wall, but it made for an interesting read. El Diablo Keeps DC In It
The jersey boy from Jersey Well not as evil as the guy that turns his jersey inside out... --I just can't believe he wasn't ashamed of being a Metros fan a long time before this....
The goal wasn't lucky, it was the result of incompetence. Howard had to play the cross, since there were DC guys all over the 6 yard line. Somebody, and I'm guessing it was supposed to be Chrono based on the lecture Clint was giving him, should have been manning the far post. That ref was horrible. He completely lost control of the game. Both teams should have ended the game with 9 men. Diallo and Mathis earned send offs for the Metros, and Richie Williams should have been sent off for DC. In his own level of hack-hood is Reyes, who was so bad he could have been sent off twice. DC's time-wasting was pitiful as well. I've never seen a team come out after halftime and start wasting the clock from the 46th minute on. Some of the tactics, like Quintanilla walking around the field in circles for a minute and a half during the substitution were pure bush league. That ref was horrible, and he was horrible in both directions. It's a miracle nobody was seriously hurt. JMac
