Good night, it was an analogy, people. Are y'all seriously trying to tell me that everyone in France pronounces everything exactly the same? That there aren't local dialects where MAYBE two different Frenchmen might pronounce Sochaux differently? I'm well aware that French and German are different, but thanks for pointing it out just the same.
No, but they love the "Faux Fighters" and on halloween yell "Beau!" It's kind of cute. French is French, damnit. It's just in Marsaille the mar-say it faster. I kill me.
If you've ever seen "La Ridicule" you know winning a pun competition is not all it's cracked up to be. That is still one of my favorite opening scenes in a movie ever. I'm just waiting for one of my enemies to get dilapidated enough I can use it on them!
Guilty as charged. Actually my kids have a lot more drawl than I do. I attempt to keep my accent free from any regional influence the best I can.
more like bigpuns.com. this thread is starting to chaux signs of being the worst in bigsoccer history, and this is just match day 1.
*error buzzer* Geaux would be pronounced Jo with the same "J" as in Jacques, I command you to write it gaux then !
I'll need a report on that being the right pronunciation, from at least five different dialects in France and one in a former French colony before I'll accept that as being true. Until then, geaux to it.
I think Louisianans write geaux as a Frenglish sound alike, so that maybe the confusion. Though actual Cajun French speakers still pronounce that spelling as "Joh" like Standard French would.
