YankeeKillers, did you join today just to post for this game? If so, there's a rivalry forum for real smack talk & not the friendly analysis of this forum.

This game is going to be tough. Really tough. Grind out, knock down, tough.

Truth be told I'm just playing up the rivalry a bit, it's all in good fun. Long time lurker on here, nice to see the American perspective. I hate your program with a passion (can you blame me?), but I respect it to death.

And yes, I have no doubt it will be tough and a battle to the very end. I wouldn't have it any other way. This is going to be a throwback to the 2002 u-19.

In the three previous Olympics/World Cup or Qualifiers before last January, the matches all went to overtime! I'd forgotten that.

Welcome to bigsoccer :) If you've lurked then you know there are fans of a variety of different countries around here. And multiple forums for women's soccer. See you around :)

The Markgraf bit on msnbc was cute. I heart Kate.

I'm not sure it's advised to post links on the open forum.

You have to wonder why Pia has waited so long to decide what to do with Boxx. It feels like a wasted opportunity to bring another player. She is basically saying she prefers to have an injured player on the roster than bring a new one like Lindsey. It annoys me beyond words, cause I can't see the advantage of doing that...
Is it me? Am I missing something?

Boxx was dressed for the last game so apparently she could have been used as a sub? We've known there was no real back up for her since 2010. I agree it's a problem. And I'm not on the Lindsey train. Nice player, nicer person. But not really (imo) on level w/ the others now. But I've been told to hush about my constant "IT"S A PROBLEM" obsessing, so I got nuttin.

Ok, folks. Get your drinks & snacks. Take care of any business that would take you away from the screen for the next 45min.

I suspect Boxx is available. Pia has just replaced her with Lloyd b/c Lloyd got a couple of goals. I assume Pia couldn't care less that Lloyd keeps leaving Cheney out to dry in CM. In doing so, our MF has often been not existent. Of course, the backs keep banging it to the forwards as well which doesn't help.

PacmanJr, Lloyd was very restrained in the France match. But she's slowly returned to some old problems as the tournament has progressed. I hope she's back under control and not running on tired legs/tired brain. That's when old bad habits pop up.

Why doesn't NBC show us the anthems? It's a proper prelude to a match.
