Hard to argue much with the 3 forwards ahead of her. They all outscored her and deserve to be there. I would argue more for Jen deserving to be first team ahead of one of the Philly defenders. What a kick! Freedom star Hamm passes on tips Nice article in the Post's "KidsPost" section about Mia and one of her "Adopt-a-Teams." The print version has some nice photos and diagrams, which the online one unfortunately lacks.
From the Freedom site: Mullinix Wants Founders Cup and Her Job Back By Tim Nash She should get called into the Gold Cup camp along with Melissa Moore.
' "To come back in her first full game, the Boston game, and make 13 saves and do the things that she had to do, was a real boost to her confidence,” he said. " ' Actually, that was her third full game. A good article, otherwise - Siri hasn't gotten nearly the attention (and honors) she's earned this season. She's saved our butts in ways I can't imagine that Melissa Moore has had to do for Philly.
It's quiet over here ladies and gents. Talk about something. Anything. Who's nervous about the game? Who's not? Reasons why or why not, please.
We're all packing for Atlanta! Nervous, yes. Carolina has a lot of firepower, and their defense is going to be a lot more robust than it was last time - no five goals allowed on Saturday. Carrie Moore is going to have the toughest job of her "white-on-rice" career with Birgit Prinz. Is she up to shutting down a player that's five inches taller than her? I don't know. Is the rest of the defense going to be able to help her? Are we going to be able to stymie Hege Riise, who had a sensational semifinal game? On the other side, Mia, Bai, and Abby all had Player of the Week outings in the last Carolina game. At least one of them's going to have to do it again. It should be a good game and should go either way. At one point I was so happy with the Freedom's success that I didn't much care who won, but now that our guys have been roundly snubbed in the awards competition, I'd really, really like to see the Washington no-names thrash the Carolina all-stars.

Is it 3 field subs or 4 field subs?????????? Ok I think you can use 4 field subs and 1 GK sub. My subs: Mia Mak Ann Cook Jacqui Starters: Siri Skylar Grubb Moore Barr Jones Pu Wei Gerardo Noftsinger Bai Jie Abby Mak in for Gerardo Cook for Noftsinger Mia in for Bai Jie Jacqui in for perhaps Pu Wei????????? This may change the more I attempt to think about it.
my subs: Mia Gerardo (She's good in the second half) Cookie Starters: Siri Skylar, Grubb, C.Moore, Barr Jones Pu Wei, Mak, Noftsinger Bai Jei, Abby Gerardo in for Mak Cookie in for Skate Mia most definitely up top in for Bai Jei
And it better not be a damn repeat of FC1 but if it comes down to PKs... In no particular order: Grubb Mia Mak Jacqui Abby
God save us all if it is...I couldn't take it. I'll be there. There's only so much stress I can take. I want an outright win by the Freedom. It's not too much to ask. A 5-2 ass whoopin would be appreciated. It's not going to happen, but it would be greatly appreciated.
Hey..ain't you suppose to be driving up to Atlanta right now? If Freedom are down a goal or two in the first half then Mia will get subbed in before the second half. If it's a draw or Freedom are leading at halftime then Mia is a second halfer. I think the Courage will come out hard for the first 20 mins or so while the Freedom will spend this time mainly not attacking too much. Once things settle down then I see both teams going back and forth. By then the Freedom outside backs will begin making forays up the sideline and into their offensive third.
Nah, I don't live that far away from Atlanta. Five hour drive. I'll leave here about 7 tomorrow morning. I think pretty much every team, since they've figured out our strategy anyway, comes out trying as hard as they possibly can to score as many times as they can before Mia comes in at half. I think our defense is stellar, though. Jen keeps everyone organized. If Jen continues to keep everyone organized, C.Moore works her man, and Emmy and Skylar keep the wings secure...well, I do believe that makes us golden.
I'm getting nervous, but i think our girls are going to win this. I'm going to Atlanta, all the way from Texas to support the Freedom. Can't wait.
Dude, can someone tape this for me? I don't get Pax! College cable sucks! We get MTV2 and all the ************ like that, but no Pax...ugh! Fear are you doing a PBP?
From my WUSA Insider newsletter: I got your back #2 Homie G. Funk! Uhhhhh I don't know. Hell I don't even know if I'm watching this match. This may be on my boycott list.
