7 Subs?

    MLS got rid of the only 5 men on the bench rule a few years ago, so they don't have anything to "adopt". Most leagues around the world allow 7 available substitutes(in fact off the top of my head I can only think of the EPL that doesn't).

    I think in the Danish Cup (not league) you can only have four, which makes it hard to add a "firepower" sub.

    I think you didn't read the article you linked. It has nothing to do with subs, just allows more players on the bench. MLS already adopted this.

    Ah yes. They mean 7 available, not 7 actually used (that stays at 3). In that case, there's not much relevant to MLS here.
