7/7: Pulisic (start) - Chelsea at Crystal Palace

Bored Pulisic tries to dribble past three for the highlight reel. Makes it through only two.

Pulisic dribbling into a wall of defenders is becoming more common the last couple games.

 

Not going to be tons of open space for Chelsea next season, I don't imagine.

 

I would think he gets more space than now considering who he may be playing with.

 

Great combination by Willian and Mount. Saved by Guaita, was headed just inside the post.

 

I think Lampard is allowing him that freedom since he's producing. Might as well go for it, lol

I think Mount is fantastic, but has to do better when set up by Willian like that.

 

sooner or later he'll either actually do it or the ball will bounce his way and Chelsea will score. I don't mind it late in games. Not like much else they are doing is dangerous.

With everyone sitting back because of what CP/Werner/Mount/Ziyech might threaten to do if given open space? I don't know... I wouldn't count on it.

 

?? Not much pace, but he placed it at the exact lower corner and forced a full extension fingertip save. He didn't choke.

 

RLC loses the ball in a dangerous area then Michael Bradleys his way to a light trot while watching the counter.

 

Hopefully Jorginho is back integrated because IMO he's a solid player, certainly better than Gilmour.

Awesome from Pulisic but Willian rushes the shot and it's easily blocked.

Nice CP run and feed to Willian, shot just gets blocked well by van Aaanholt. He may be tired, but still looks good. Still would love a fourth and Frank to run on subs for CP and Willian.

My bad, I have the game on in a little corner of my screen at work with no sound, so I keep saying dumb stuff, sorry. It looked to me like he had dragged it wide.

 

Another good counter with CP feeding Willian, whose shot is too much at the keeper. Time for Chelsea to maybe take some air out of the ball, though.

 

Palace easily could have been given a penalty on the other end... that's rough.
