The only silver lining is we keep one more of our boys in the BL1.

    They need a better coach.

Bremen has so much more ball talent than H-heim. But the coach had them play like a U12 team. No sophistication no combination no play from the back to pull the D out. Poor game all around. But Bremen and Sarge stay up. They need to bring in more talent. The sub Fullkrug? just stands there like a traffic cone on the lefty shot. No hustle.

I thought Sargent was ok today. Some loose touches with his back to goal, but was responsible for 3 of the best chances of the game (own goal sorta responsible, his quick cut and shot blocked for a corner, and the one he should have put away).

I'm a big fan of his, but I will be hard pressed to watch any Werder next year if Kohfeldt is around. It's the most boring soccer I think I've ever put myself through.

Well, at least Sargent stays in the Bundesliga. He's been playing decently since the break, but when he gets chances, he has to score at least some of them or games like this at the bottom of the table are about as good as his carer will get. Hopefully he took enough other steps this year and the scoring kicks into gear next.

My dog swallowed a coin once. I spent a week dissecting his turds looking for it. That is what analyzing Sargent's game is in bremen's larger context: dissecting a turd looking for something good.

Gotta be honest, not really a huge fan of away goals, and it's particularly silly in this context playing behind closed doors as there's not really much home-field advantage is there?

There is enough data to show that there is no home field advantage with empty stadiums in Bundesliga since re-start. In fact, it has been somewhat easier to play on the road then at home.

I had turned it off after the second Bremen goal, and didn't realize that HH had scored a second. Bremen were desperate to steal defeat from the jaws of victory to the very end of the season. Had there been 30 seconds of time left at the restart they would have found some way to blow it I'm sure. Kohfeld has to go. They need a rebuild, but need, like Schalke 04 in my opinion, to do it with a more certain captain steering the Schiff!
