7/4: Pulisic (start) - Chelsea v. Watford

Pulisic scores on the 4th of July and his eagle soar to the sky.

mount wastes possession and should have done better on the touch from pulisic.

 

kante is like the steve bezos version of MB90. I mean it's the billionaire version, but where is the creativity? and mount ain't it either.

Wish they'd turn this crowd noise down a notch.

 

using azipilcueta as a distributor ain't gonna work either. Shitty play by James. Chelsea look lifeless.

 

Agree with the announcer there. I would have preferred Pulisic look for the return pass at the top of the box instead of heading to the endline.

This Pulisic kid looks like he can play a little bit.

 

Pulisic has been good so far around 20 minutes in. Could have had an assist or two with better finishing from teammates.

 

They're going the opposite side of Pulisic and doing a bunch of nothing

 

Not sure how Chelsea can justify not running every attack through Pulisic.

 

Chelsea definitely with the better of play, Pulisic perhaps the best attacker on the field so far. Set up a couple of decent chances for an assist in this first quarter. Wish James could find his game again - I like that Frank rotated the squad enough that they seem fresh, Zouma looks strong, but I wish James could look near his most dangerous.

 

Had one nice cross mixed in with a bunch of bad stuff.

 

Barkley with some vision to find Giroud for the goal. Abraham might want to join the loan army next season.

 

Really nice finish by Giroud. Pulisic not involved. Hopefully that will force Watford to push forward a bit more, and the game will open up.
