7/27 vs. Columbus Crew Well since it's two days before and there is no thread mine as well start one. As per the other thread, we have the tendancy to suck against the crew in the past, will this game be different? I predict us coming out 3-1 winners. Goals by Elliot, Califf and of course mr. fish.
In other words, you're SOL. Keep looking around; you might find something. As Cadaver or someone else pointed out, we always have trouble with the Crew so unfortunately I think we will tie at best, but I hope I'm proven wrong. With Califf out, maybe we have a chance.
First time, in quite a while, that I won't be able to see the Galaxy in action. The game is not available on DirecTV's MLS package. Based on our recent performances, I'm not that pissed. Perhaps this is a good omen. Of course, I hope it doesn't become a common occurance. I do LOVE watching my Galaxy soccer. As far as the Crew game goes, I don't have a great feeling about it, simply because of our track record v them. 4-8-2 all-time?? Not good!!! However, considering how wacky & inconsistent this season has been, I wouldn't be shocked to hear about us coming through with a SOLID performance. I WON'T make any predictions so as not to jinx our boys, but just hope that when I come home from a night on the town & log on to BS, I read some GOOD news. GO, GALAXY!!!!!!!!!
Mateo.gals In response to earlier comments, not all Gal fans will be at the game. It's a hell of a commute from Seoul, but I can follow this one on TheCrew.com/103.9 webcast, however choppily. Surely hangtheadj knows this ("I don't have a computer, and stop calling me 'Shirley'"). Anyhow, much possession for gals. Free kick for Crew at top of box, over the top of box. Gals using many midfielders, 3-5-2, I think. Cien in. Elliot with another rugby try earlier. My kingdom for a defensive mid who puts the ball on goal.
Dwight Burgess has all intellect of Jim Lampley, the wit of Jack Edwards and the insight of Ty Keough, but at least the Crew have a webcast. McBride and EZ go at it at midfield.
Crew ties it around 42ish, Clark one time volleys a McHeader past Gato. 1-1. Galaxy dropped more into counterattack mode, as is their custom, but forgot the defending part.
Early second half, good attacks from both sides. We've had a couple of close ones as best as i can tell on my choppy broadcast..; "Cie...SHOT...Bu...Crew...dod..bu...et..." et al.
It was Pescadito. I heard the word "pair." Something happening in the box. Big scramble, but Crew save it at the last. 83ish. Go Gals!
West should leap frog Colorado and Dallas. Well we'll have the same amount of points as Dallas but more wins in the same amount of games so is that the first tie breaker or is GA it?
man sounded like a good game..... couldn't make it as i'm sick. listened to the game via a columbus webcast. thank god for Ruiz..... without him we'd be playing like DC United, maybe even worse if that's possible
Oh Okay, thanks. I was wrong though Dallas will have 31 points after their tie so we'll be one behind them and tied with Colorado with 30 but we have two games in had on them.
Segun MLSnet and the Gals website, we had nine wins as of Thursday. So, we should have 33 pts and be second in the west, but this contradicts what the game summary said. I like the 33 points scenario better. Confirmation, anyone?
