INteresting stadium news This link was already posted yesterday, but just to stay on topic http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/sports/9233735.htm Some not all that respectful comments from the Mirror: (middle of page) "TIM'S PALS GET ME SPEECHLESS IN SEATTLE" http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/sport...er-must-flick-v-sign-at-vieira-name_page.html For once, i think this article makes sense, more than the usual by same author: MLS, USSF must find a way to pump life into U.S. Open Cup. Funny that he's ripping on American cuisine too... like the British have a lot of room to talk there, or for using national vernacular when discussing sports or God forbid, talking about a local hero.
For Brian Reade (the column's author), that quip about the "Yanks" rewriting history is actually pretty tame. I've read stuff from him in the past, and he comes off as seriously thinking that we're a nation of fat, slovenly, dumb morons who think of nothing else but war and lynch black people for fun. He must be a miserable bastard, because I've read a column on there by one of his co-columnists at the Mirror - Sue Carroll IIRC - in which she referred to him as a dickhead.
