Lampard needs to get Pulisic off. This game is a lost cause.

Let’s get giroud in there and honestly I think kovacic could help imbalance Sheffield more than Barkley right now. Not a goal threat though.

An absolute wall in front of Pulisic, 5 defenders surrounding him. Better from tammy, finally won a header.

The entire match is a train wreck for the Blues

    Sheffield is extremely well coached

Yeah that was the chance, CP was in on goal if he would have gotten that pass off immediately

You wonder how much not having Kante or Gilmour but having Jorghino on the pitch hurt them.

On the other hand Sheffield is very well coached and so disciplined.

The Chelsea players were outplayed in every sense, but I agree that Lampard was outcoached today.

    Either Pulisic is being rested,

    OR

He's starting from the bench next game.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Frank wanted to take his best attacking player off (he had already written off the game) to make a point that everyone else needs to step it up for the rest of the season and it gives him more fodder to fire up the entire team ... and it allows Pulisic some rest on his legs.

He also saw that they weren’t breaking SHU with their dribbling so he added a second CF to allow for a more direct approach woth long balls and crosses. It didn’t work.
