Revolution lose Brown By Gus Martins, Boston Herald, 7/1/04 "FOXBORO - Adin Brown regained the starting goalkeeper's position just over a week ago, but a concussion suffered Saturday in a 2-1 win over the New York-New Jersey MetroStars will knock him out indefinitely..." http://sports.bostonherald.com/soccer/view.bg?articleid=33991
He's had concussions before hasn't he? I hope for his sake (let alone the team) that he doesn't develop permanent problems.
Too bad for Adin, these injuries couldn't have come at a worse time for his plans to go to Europe during the next transfer window. It also may have benefited the league as they may have gotten some good money as well. Anyways, best of luck to you Adin.
First off, this sucks for Adin. He played really well in the first half of the Metros game and I thought he was starting to get back into form. From a team perspective, I am also concerned about our keeping situation. With Singer and Brown hurt, we've got no backup keeper. Are we about to see Doug Warren sign with the team? Or are we going to just hope Reis stays healthy until one of the other two comes back? Maybe we'll move Dempsey back there so he can work on playing every position on the field before the end of the season? Lee
Maybe JMM will work his way back into the line-up via the goal-keeper's position! He's played there before for the Revs.
He has had problems before. I wonder if we'll see him wear one of those protective devices? I've not seen many MLS players using those, much less any goalkeepers. Brian
