$60BN for War $700M for aid

    The Washington Post reported yesterday that Bush asked for $74.7 billion to fight the war.

    So, where does that leave the other $14 billion?

    the supplemental provided $3.5 b for humanitarian aid and reconstruction

    I thought Iraqi oil was going to be sufficient to finance reconstruction. That's what the administration said a few days before they shocked and awed us.
