This was posted on reddit. I haven't verified, but I know some folks were looking for a non-traditional TV way to watch:

"I just wanted to share that Tubi is a free app that will air the USMNT opening game for free. In addition to the USMNT opening game, Tubi will also air the Mexico vs. South Africa game. The app is free and you just need to create an account."

Tubi's available via app and I think just the web. You need an account but it's free; it just shows ads like old school TV.

 

I would trade all of those except Brian McBride for Jermaine Jones.

For me, Jermaine, Brian, and Dempsey.

Oh I remember it was the year I signed up on here.. my buddies don't think we can score on them or Paraguay.

 

Second generation -- so the "they" is "we," right? They expect them/us/the US to win the group easily, you mean.

 

John Harkes would be really inspirational. He might share some of his life stories. You could also invite Eric Wynalda, they would perform in a pair.
Eddie Johnson is another wonderful choice. "They called me Eddie the Eagle because I was the greatest great!".
I love JOB, but he has vanilla personality and might remind listeners that weed is legal now.
The same goes to Mathis who would provide some great diet suggestions.

To each his own, but I'd wish for them to put less focus on their grandpas and more on their neighbors. But that is a wish for another day. For now I'll say I hope they are extremely disappointed.

I watched the whole interview and didn’t pick on what Gregg was doing. But in retrospect, I see it. Guess I’m not as jaded as I used to be.

 

If I had buddies like that, I'd definitely ask them to wager.

 

It was just at the end there where Bradley was praising how Poch had the team playing "physical", and going on to say it was a hallmark of Poch teams and how he challenged the players, etc.. And then it was Gregg jumping in with, "Yeah, but did you see the England game and how much we ran!?" The implication there was that, "Hey we were "physical" when I coached them too!". And in Gregg's defense we did play a good game against England. And let's face it, it's hard to sit there and hear your successor praised for how he's improved the team. Has he? We'll see...

I don't think he defended his legacy other than that, aside from saying he would play Dest behind Weah (and bench Freeman). But that's just his opinion, not necessarily legacy defending, unless we wanna say that he's insisting he had it right.

 

I watched it, too, and had @JazzyJ not noted it, I wouldn't have thought anything of it. I still don't think it means what he thinks it means. I thought he was clear that he was talking purely about the capacity of our players to go all out against anyone.

 

The reaction video--it's been quite a few years since I've watched it. I couldn't even get through half of it just now before the tears really started streaming. Oh, the tears. I didn't realize I still have so much emotion attached to that moment. Thanks for sharing it again.

 

Well, I think in a nutshell, Bradley was making the "physicality" out to be something that Poch is drawing out of this group specifically. And Gregg is basically saying it's a hallmark of the US men's team generally. That's the difference. Is Poch making it happen (Bradley) or is he just basically inheriting the inherent physicality of the US team over multiple cycles (Berhalter).

 

A team with 3 points total and zero GD will have significantly higher than a 50% chance to advance. I would guess it’s closer to 80% but haven’t run the simulations. Just so you’re aware.

Also there are less pure minnows than it looks on the surface due to a huge bump in savvy dual national recruiting. The floor is way higher than is commonly understood.
