Welcome to the battle of teams so terrible they start an american! McK starts in the central midfield, while Sargent plays next to Rashica in a two man strike team. Bremen riding a two game unbeaten streak and S04 is terrible as usual.
Wes scores early. Schalke add a second after the half. Wes subbed off at 60 and Sargent ties it up with an amazing second half brace for the 2-2 final. You heard it here first!
Sargent has been active and effective early as Bremen have the upper hand. However, hasn’t created any good opportunities. Schlage defensively organized and good at turning it over going forward.
McKennie gets the ball on a counter and tripped by Lnagkamp from behind, drawing yellow. Sargent previously made a great tackle at midfield for what looked like a dangerous possession change but Schalke already had ten behind the ball, because why try to cross midfield when you have the ball?
Honestly can't believe this is S04 and Bremen. They play like the U21 JV version of both. Can't remember seeing two teams as bereft of talent at this level in the Bundi. Ever.
If you picture 90% of the pitch, that is the part McK is defending and attacking. Kid just said, I have no position so I'll play them all.
schalke does something exciting! Tobido with a very exciting turnover at midfield, and five seconds later, brilliant long shot into the top corner by I think Bittencourt! Sargent uninvolved, was in position for the rebound. McKennie uninvolved.
He's pretty much everything today for S04. He is playing the 6, the 8, the 9 and RM and LM by stretches.
Sargent has been pretty invisible. Made some runs to the outlet and misplayed some touches. He did force Todibo into a yellow.
I agree that it's a pretty boring game, but I think both of our guys are doing fairly well without anything too memorable. Both working hard and getting involved.
Sargent earns a corner then is the lead man on a flick on from the corner which almost came off. Better from him.
Bremen corner, great flick-on by Sargent right to the man McKennie is marking, his physical aerial challenge forces the header off target.
McKennie yellow for a foul on the sideline, and he’s out for the next match against Union Berlin on accumulation. Rest day!
