Aldo Donelli died last September at age 87. He holds two distinct footnotes in sports history: He was the only American to score in the 1934 World Cup AND he has the only man to ever coach NCAA and NFL football teams at the same time. He was the head coach at Duquesne (later at Boston College and Columbia) where he had been a star punter and halfback. The Steelers had been coached by the owner but after opening with two losses he stepped aside and asked Donelli to take over. He coached both teams for the remainder of the season.

The Marketing to Latino community is a good read -- touches upon many different subjects. It also includes the greatest quote ever about Adu: "We believe he's a player who will transcend the sport. He's a Faberge egg and we're looking to develop him carefully."

This is wrong. At least according to Allen Hopkins per last weekend's German game. So you either believe him or a certain poster on these boards.
This is incorrect. It is now expected that both Germany and France will be back for next season. Holland is, most likely, out. I haven't heard about Brazil and Argentina, but there is some time before those decisions will be made, I think.
I actually got this from a friend of mine who is a free lancer in the tv industry. Whether he is right I do not know. Whether Allen Hopkins is right I do not know. Whether Oliver is right I do not know. I personally love the balance that FSW currently has, but I do know that is going to change after the announcements at Nevada Smiths are made. Anyone planning on going to Nevada Smiths for the FSW thingy?
I think the Nevada Smith's thing if for accredited media members and on an invite basis only. I think Oliver is planning on listening to the conference call, though.
Not a bad birthday, albeit early, with two goals on the weekend against the Galaxy. And if it helps, Kenn, my birthday is next Monday. I'll be 39.
I also heard that FOX will be showing J.League games very soon. It means they will be showing more games and do away with infomercials they have now.
