Went to the get together tonight at 19th St, found out the Menace are playing an exhibition against a Bosnian club and another team today, 5/1, at Cownie.. game times are 6 and 9pm. I'm going, anyone else? The college kids will get their first chance to play with the club today. I'm looking forward to seeing who all is there
Just got back from the games and I am excited for this season. We look really good. After seeing the game against Minnesota and tonights games I can say this years squad is playing a bit more agressively, both physically and offensively than last year. We are playing faster, more one touch ball, which as most of you know I like. We beat NK Bosna by a score of 6-0 and the hispanic team (didn't catch who it was against, sorry) by a score of 6-1, their lone goal was a PK. Defensively we looked sharper than against Minnesota, tho a couple times we got beat. Leo Krupnik brings a lot more to this team. Lot of communicating and leading. Midfield we stepped up and challenged them a lot, not letting either team really control things much. If there was one thing i thought we were a little weak on was the corners and crosses. Really didn't see a lot out of them. A few times we looked good when Chris Redhage was up front (he did not drop back on defense btw ). Much of the action from passes and dribbling into the box. Few of our guys needed to take the shots a bit earlier tonight, we probably could have had at least 3 more goals if there hadn't been some hesitation. A few more names to add to the group as of now: Matt Nickel and Matt Bourne from Drake. and a great piece of news... Fabio
