The Beat have an away game the Fourth of July in Cary, NC to play the Courage. Several of us are already going (me, Susan and Terry). Susan and Terry already have their tickets...I still have to call and get mine. It's not a bad roadtrip from Atlanta... pretty much interstate all the way. I'll get the link to the hotel the Courage use and place it here. It would be great if we could have a loud crew go up and support our team! I know they really appreciate it when they have fans at away matches. Also, Lisa Krzykowski is going to be in Cary the last weekend in May when the Spirit play the Courage. There are four of us going to support her. If anyone is interested in this trip, let me know! Kim link to the Marriott at Research triangle park in Durham, NC (mention the Courage and get your room for $69 ...thats $10 off per night). http://www.marriott.com/dpp/PropertyPage.asp?MarshaCode=RDUCP
Cool, Mike! We need to get a count on how many would like to go. We should order tickets soon and it would be nice if we ordered them at one time so we can sit together and make more noise! Somewhere on the side of the players benches would be nice.
Sections 103 & 104 are usually where the families of the visiting team sits. Actually, I believe it may just be 103. The sections immediately behind the visiting team bench are mostly season ticket holders, but 103 is rather close. http://www.carolinacourage.com/tickets_stadium/
How do we get a body count? If we mail somethign in early, we are more likelsy to get a block in section 104, which looks pretty nice.
Reminds me of the Irishman who promised his buddy that when he dies, he's pour a bottle of good John kameison's on the grave. After a moments reflection, he asked his buddy, "Do you mind if I pass it through my kidneys first?"
Add your name and # in your party Dani (1) I will also email a few member who don't post on BS. Should we put the $$ towards the tickets? We can discuss car pooling/hotel arrangements at the next home game.
Mike Lane 2 (we may go up early but be able to take someone back, or go up on the 4th and stay over a couple of days. Since I'm the one who actually HAS the $151, we need to connect somehow.
Kim (1)...section 104 would be great. If we can't get seats on the same row, see if they can get them right behind each other. Actually, that might be better than all in one row. We need to bring signs, banners and what-not. Bonnie...do you get in free or do you need a ticket? We definitely want you sitting with us! We gotta toss back some beer and be loud and proud! Yo Mel... I'll toss one back for you! Send me a Canadian flag and I'll make sure it gets seen!! I'm not too fond of the "Melie" nickname... it's kinda creepy ... did Sharie make that up?... cause it doesn't sound like you!!!!!!!!!!!
Sharie and my sisiter, the only two people on the face of the earth that call me Melly. *shrugs* Could be worse me thinks ...
Dr. Mike - how about you bring me a check at next weeks game - I will get a head count then and purchase the tickets. We can also discuss hotel and carpooling.
I'll need a ticket since I've all but given up the press thing. count me in for (1) ticket. If that changes, i'll post something. But I seriously doubt anyone else will be with me.
So far this is the head count: Bonnie (1), Kim (1), Sharie (1), Mike (2), Me (1) = 6 tickets Undecideds: Melody (2) I will call about the tickets today.
Got the tickets (6) on order. We might have to be split up, but all are in sec 103. The total cost was $154. However since Susan & Terry already got there tickets we need to add theirs to the pot as well. This is the break down so far: 6 tickets @ $25 each = $150 2 tickets for S&T @ $25 each = $50 TICKET TOTAL = $200 $150 in Brigade pot / 8 people (total of confirmed going to the game) = $18.75 credit per person. $25 (price of ticket) - $18.75 (credit) = $6.25 <-- what each will owe for their ticket. As of now, this could change if more people join in.
No problem! Do you want to wait until that weekend to pay up in case the $$ changes? Or do you want us to give it to you at the next Beat game? Not a problem either way for me, just let me know. Are all the seats fairly close to each other? I don't really care....put me by someone who wants to drink and get rowdy... how about you Bonnie...Are you game????????
