You need to look up the definition of chastise.

The lame jokes did deflate the tension of what came before though. Now we can all move on.

RE: Arsenal - They are the real joke here.

Chastise people for taking themselves seriously on the internet.

Proceed to instruct stranger on internet to look up the definition of the word chastise.

    Praise the lord.

We have bestbecks to crack lame jokes and help us move on from tension that doesn't exist.

Would Arsenal get any worse if they tried the diamond?
    ------------Arteta-------
    ------Rosicky---Wilshere---
    ------------Cazorla----------
    ------Podolski------Giroud/Walcott
the 4321 is not really working with the players available anyway.

so Podolski and Giroud or Walcott would be playing as DLPs while Arteta would be leading the line? you might be onto something here...

Because I only post Man Utd teams facing that way, every other team is the opposition.

i see where you are going with this. Based on his formation Berbs would be playing as an extremely Deep Lying Playmaker.

It's typical of Arsenal's transfer policy: ignore the obvious available talents, sell your existing talent and sign less talented players.

If I'm Berbatov and I have Gervinho to my right and Podolski to my left, I'd rather go to Fulham.

In other Prem news, Wigan made a really good transfer getting Espinoza. A player to watch imo.

i don't think they'd be worse but i'm not sure they'd be better either... it would just be reshuffling the mediocre players they have. arteta is the only proven player they have, really. maybe with cazorla too, although he seems to be have been figured out some by the league. they gave the 10 prematurely to wilshere.

They've picked up a losing mentality. Any time they get near a trophy they will fall down. This is what happens when you lose all of your best player, and then watch them pick up silverware. The sole aim of most of the Arsenal players is to play well enough to be picked up by a big team. They are a stepping stone club for all foreign players.

True, they have made some great signings over the last few years at really good prices - Valencia, Rodallega also spring to mind. Personally I have found Martinez to be perhaps the most overrated manager in English football for a few years now (he really hasn't done much outside of Swansea, and if anything they improved further with the two managers they have had following his departure), but I do think Dave Whelan is an excellent owner. It helps to have a 'proper football man' (cliche of the day done) running the show.
