Tuesday results: Bochum vs Dortmund 0:0 Both teams had plenty of chances, but were unable to score. Bad luck for Bochum that the ref didn't see an advantage situation and whistled free kick instead of allowing a one on one situation with the goalie. Berlin vs Mönchengladbach 1:2 0:1 Münch (9.pk, Aidoo), 0:2 van Hout (58. Münch), 1:2 Preetz (80. Marcelinho) Only a few scenes in this game were regular playing situations, only standards caused danger. Hertha's fans were demanding ex-coach Falko Götz, while current coach Huub Stevens and GM Dieter Hoeneß were appealing to the players' pride after the game in the locker room. Bremen vs Nürnberg 4:1 1:0 Ailton (30.pk, Daun), 1:1 Ciric (54. Müller), 2:1 Micoud (58. Skripnik), 3:1 Ailton (65. Lisztes), 4:1 Ailton (78. Ernst) A mere one way game with a result that's actually flattering Nürnberg. Already in the first half Werder must have scored at least three. Outstanding player (next to Ailton) was Johan Micoud in his BL debut - he already scored a pk in the first half, but the ref saw Stalteri move too early into the box; Micoud hit the post with the repetition. Bremen also didn't tremble after Nürnberg used their first and only chance for the equaliser. Bayern vs 1860 3:1 0:1 Max (14. Borimirov), 1:1 Salihamidzic (42. Sagnol), 2:1 Pizarro (52. Ze Roberto), 3:1 Elber (77.-) 1860 was better in the first quarter hour and had several chance to score. After the goal Bayern took control and dominated the rest of the game. 1860 goalie Simon Jentzsch rescued a mild score with plenty of great saves.
Wednesday: K'Lautern vs Bielefeld 1:1 1:0 Basler (57 Klose) 1:1 Diabang (60 Reinhardt) Weak game in coach Gerets' debut. KL was unable to create chances while Arminia occasionally started counter attacks. The goal didn't secure KL, the equaliser happened immediately (though in offside position). Wolfsburg vs Hamburg 2:1 1:0 Effenberg (51 pk Klimowicz), 1:1 Antar (71 Romeo), 2:1 Sarpei (83 Petrov) Odd game: Wolfsburg dominated almost the whole game, but they needed an unjustified pk (if there was a foul, then it was Klimowicz') to take the lead. Antar's equaliser was fully surprising, but when Hamburg got stronger Wolfsburg scored the game winner with Sarpei's first BL goal. Hannover vs Cottbus 1:3 0:1 Topic (8 Beeck), 1:1 Idrissou (24 Cherundolo), 1:2 Idrissou (67 og), 1:3 Jungnickel (90-) Hannover was the clearly better team during the whole 90 minutes - Cottbus almost scored everytime they crossed the middle line. The first two Cottbus goals happened after throw-ins, the last one was an empty net goal. Very bitter loss for Hannover. Stuttgart vs Schalke 1:1 1:0 Bordon (33-), 1:1 Hajto (87 pk Asamoah) A horrible ref was the main topic of this game. Generally it was a good game in the first and a weak game in the second half. Sand scored two goals, but the first one didn't count because of offside (wrong, Wilmots passive) and the second didn't count because the ref whistle pk too soon. In the stoppage time Asamoah was again fouled in the box by Bordon, but the whistle remained silent. Rostock vs Leverkusen 1:3 0:1 Neuville (5 Ramelow), 0:2 Brdaric (22-), 1:2 Kientz (74 Persson), 1:3 Wimmer (87 og) 70 minutes were one way soccer, but then Rostock got stronger and Leverkusen started to tremle as they led in all games this season and didn't win before today.
