We'll see if Milan can recover from its league malaise and retain hope of winning SOMETHING this season. Milan's lineup:

    Dida
    Maldini
    Sheva
    Gattuso
    Pippo
    Rui Costa
    Nesta
    Simic
    Costacurta
    Seedorf
    Ambrosini

Unlike Real-Manu, still scoreless after 17'.

    For O'Brien fans:
14' The home side are making a lot of noise here, and perhaps that has helped calm the home side's nerves.
14' John O`Brien comes forward down the Ajax left, but Gattuso does well to track back iwth the Ajax left-back and wins the throw-in.

60 minutes and still scoreless. Haven't been following it because I had a mtg I'd forgotten about. Only "event" so far is a Gattuso yellow card. Surprise!

And now Ambrosini is booked. Milan's tag team thugs. Simic's turn next, I suppose. (gee, it's fun doing this without any actual Milan fans around!).

Full time and no goals. Everything to play for in the second leg.

I am rooting for Ajax, not because I hate Milan, but because i love John O'Brien :)

Ajax - Juventus final. Ajax to win it.

Seriously though this was a very piss-poor game good job I watched Real Madrid destory Man united instead.

Where have all the 4 nil thrashings that Milan were handing out at the beggining of the season gone?

    God this match was boring...

If not for the fanatical Ajax fans I would have fallen asleep... Hey wait a mintue I did...

and if I knew nothing was going to happen for the rest of the match I wouldn't have watched the tape when I woke.

*Yawn* what a waste of time.
I don't know what Milan are thinking playing for the draw... Now the pressure is all on them.

A bit of a letdown after watching the Real v Man U game. Lets hope Juve and Inter give a better account tonight.

    I hope Milan do.
Ajax have had an impressive away record this campaign and you easily could have played for a result in this game and blown them away in my opinion.

They now go to Milan with no expectations and you are expected to win.

Milan could be in far worse situations than they are right now.

I'm more worried about missing Gattuso and Seedorf (the latter for the season) than anything else. I feel confident that they can get the win in the return leg, as they are playing for their season.

Milan's only 4-0 win in the CL was over Depor. Every other victory was by a one goal margin. I do agree with your point, though; Milan's form from earlier this year seems like ages ago, both in results and style of play.

    Two things can happen IMO.

    Milan totally overrun Ajax.
A very, very close match that will have both sides shitting themselves :D
